Can't say enough positive things about Dr. Zwolinski and Eye Style Optical. I've seen 4 or 5 eye doctors in and around St. Augustine since I've lived here and He is the best! The ladies in the front are great, also! Everyone is super friendly and helpful! I can always count on Eye Style to take the time to tweak my contact and glasses prescriptions so I'm seeing the absolute best I can be.
Opticians such as this one know that an important eyeglass measurement, the pupillary distance (PD) is a critical component of getting a prescription correct. However, they know that PD is a vital piece of information needed if you ever decided to shop for cheaper glasses online. So to protect their profits they attempt to force you into continuing to purchase glasses thru their own optical shop by refusing to provide the PD measurement even though you paid for it as part of the purchase and fitting of glasses. They will often attempt to falsely cite some non-existent legal reasoning, shrouding the real reason of profit protection for withholding the measurement. As such a number of states require that the PD be provided and even the Federal Trade Commission (Eyeglass Rule) recommends that opticians provide it to customers to allow for choice in where you buy glasses in the future and to promote pricing competition. Eye-Style Optical refuses to provide the important PD measurement to customers irrespective of the FTC's position thus limiting customer buying choices, a disadvantage to the customer, seemingly with the clear intent of getting you to pay more at their store. Simply put, you pay for the fitting of glasses, but are denied the measurements associated with the fitting. And that is an unfair business practice.

They were simply amazing! I lost my glasses on a local beach. Traveling through for a very short amount of time, I did not have a spare set but they were able to make me a new pair by the next morning and I was able to fly home as planned. They even worked with the other office. They were so friendly and reasonably priced even though they rushed it for me. Thanks for saving our trip! I truly appreciate your office staff and your kindness. It could have easily been a disaster since I cannot see anything at all without them.
