I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent visit. While I was initially told the doctor was running 20 minutes behind—which I didn't mind—I ended up waiting over 45 minutes with no further updates. When I was finally called back, I was seen by an individual who was not wearing a name tag or lanyard and did not introduce herself. When she began administering tests and eye drops, I had to stop her to ask for her credentials. She identified herself only as a "helper." The doctor’s time with me lasted less than five minutes. While he apologized for the delay, he failed to address my specific questions before concluding the appointment. Furthermore, I have yet to receive my new prescription five days later. When I requested it via the patient portal, the front desk staff incorrectly informed me that HIPAA laws prevent prescriptions from being shared digitally. This is contradictory to the purpose of a secure portal. I would like my prescription sent to me immediately and a follow-up regarding these communication lapses.

Excellent visit. The doctor was extremely knowledgeable and explained each step of the exam in a way that was easy to understand. The team was organized, efficient, and very kind. I appreciate the level of care and attention I received. Highly reccomend.
The front desk receptionist was very inappropriate and proceeded to have a ten minute conversation with her sister in law while the other receptionist actually helped an older woman and i proceeded to stand there waiting. Not a great first impression. I came here to get my eye checked due to pain i have been having and standing in the bright doorway waiting to be acknowledged is rude.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was told they had attempted to contact me to verify my Providence insurance, but had the wrong phone number. This may have been my mistake, I’m not entirely sure. The staff member assisting me was still unable to verify or authorize my coverage, even though I had my insurance card with me and contacted my insurance directly while with her. Unfortunately, the situation wasn’t handled well. It seemed like there was a lack of training or problem-solving support to resolve the issue. I offered to pay out of pocket and seek reimbursement myself, but was then told I would need to wait for an itemized receipt to be mailed, which was frustrating. Overall, the experience felt very disorganized, especially considering the exam was priced at $384. I ended up walking out without an exam and taking two hours off early for nothing.
The front staff did not open on time. When they did arrive, the interaction felt unusually unfriendly, which added to the frustration. Several staff members appeared to be dealing with illness or allergies, as they were repeatedly sniffling and snorting. This created an uncomfortable environment and raised concerns about cleanliness and professionalism. I hope these issues can be addressed to improve future visits.
