Hiring Dr. Petruk was a major step up in my opinion. The eyeglass fitting operation has always been first class and now the optometry practice is too. Dr. Petruk is competent, friendly, and has my total confidence. My eyes are in the best of hands.

Eye care specialties is super conveniently located in Lacey near the Harley Davidson Shop and the Ram, Minutes from my house. This is my second annual visit with them, my thoughts remain the same. The eye technicians here are fantastic. Knowledgeable, well spoken, and patient. They definitely know their jobs and that’s always nice. Waiting time pre-appointment is never too long. The facility itself is contemporary and clean. The eye examination rooms are spacious and comfortable, so if you have problems with anxiety at the eye doctors, there’s plenty of room so you don’t have a close space to make you more nervous. My first appointment I saw Dr. Rouse, my second appointment. I saw Dr. Keisler, Both are efficient. Dr. Keisler Provided plenty of information about my eye health, and had A very comfortable demeanor when she said she wanted to get an additional test performed for early glaucoma symptoms. The test came back completely negative, and she said I had actually grown nerve tissue since last year‘s appointment which is rare she said, but can happen with proper vitamin support. My only complaint and the reason for a one star reduction is that they need to improve their process at the end of the appointment. You wait around quite a bit for the optometrist to complete their review with the patient or patients that are in line before you. So, this can results in a wait that feels moderately like a waste of time. Both appointments I had made my arrangements to purchase my glasses somewhere else, so this definitely felt like a waste of very nearly an additional hour. Hopefully they’ll be able to improve that process as time goes on, but I felt like I was there longer than I should have been. Not bad enough to make me not want to go back. The rest of the staff seems to do a very, very good job and when I did talk to the optometrist, she was very kind, energetic, and proficient. It was obvious that she liked her job. I would recommend Eye care Specialties, I would offer probably a general recommendation. Letting anybody know about the time on the back end of the appointment, and that I can run a little bit long.

My experience was great! The provider listened to my concerns, addressed my vision correction needs and provided multiple options ensuring I was comfortable before leaving the office. I was able to get a great pair of glasses and try out a few different contacts to adjust to my new prescription. Everyone here is very kind and have great patience. There is no rush to push you out as they all seem to care about the clients.

Very disappointed in the care I received. Went in for an eye health check on medication that can cause blindness. Visual Fields showed vision loss. I was sen for a MRI to rule out tumors etc. I was given a RX before I left the office but decided not to purchase at the office. My Specialist recommended I see an ophthalmologist . Found out I had rather significant cataracts. His words. I feel Rouse eye care was more concerned with making a sale now that they are owned by a corporation then me the patient. They left a message on here for me to contact them so they can make it better. . What can they do? My insurance Co has already paid them. I did not write the review for some sort of compensation. I want the public to beware of what type of business they run.

This place just might try to scam you!!! My family and I moved here in 2024, needed our annual eye exam that same year, and found that Rouse was covered under our insurance, had appointments available and great reviews. The eye exams itself went ok but it did seem as if they were trying to trap me into buying glasses from them. Also, the Dr does try to play on your emotions and fear after offering an eye service that my insurance doesn’t cover. He told me that I had pressure and bleeding behind my eye and because the other eye service is more advanced, he’ll be able to tell me what’s causing my issue. I declined and got a referral to see an optometrist with the same tech for no extra cost. Well, thankfully, my eyes are perfectly healthy. The optometrist even questioned me after the exam about who and which office gave me this misinformation. I felt a little embarrassed that I wasted both of our time. So, my husband and I decided to not return the following year. To our surprise, we received a bill in the mail from Rouse, for an exam in 2025, in my husband’s name. It’s not much, but not our responsibility to pay. I contacted Rouse EyeCare over the phone, that there was a mistake made with billing. They told me that it was a mixup with another patient with the same name as my husband and that they corrected the mistake. But, a couple months later, we received the same bill again. My husband went to their office and personally got it corrected and was assured that him and the rest of the family info was out of their system. But, we still continue to get emails, mail, phone calls and BILL from them til this day. I was showing grace by not leaving a negative review but trying to force a family of 7 to pay a bill that they know is not responsible for, is a form of incompetence and needs to be called out.
