Eyeglass Express

I stopped by Eyeglass Express after one of my nose pads fell off, and I was genuinely impressed. The staff member welcomed me with a smile and immediately started helping with the repair. She even checked in with me midway when it was taking a bit longer than she originally estimated. After finishing, she wouldn’t charge any payment as it was a quick repair, and sent me off with another friendly smile and a warm goodbye. The store itself is bright, clean, and has a great selection of frames. Wonderful service all around.

From Dr Bailey, her assistant Jasmine, Kevin the technician and Logan who helped me with the fitting, this is definitely the A-Team. I felt welcomed and cared for from the moment I walked in the door. Dr Bailey was very thorough and actually talked with me about my prescription and listened to my concerns. And I have looked all over town to find someone who could help put my current prescription in my Maui Jim’s and Kevin can absolutely do that. Thank you to this entire team for great customer service and patient care.

UPDATE: I was contacted by the manager after he read my review, and I really appreciate him taking the time to reach out. He was very apologetic about the miscommunication and agreed that they could do a better job communicating pricing before the exam. I appreciate his willingness to listen, address my concerns, and credit my account for the unexpected charge after my exam. Thank you for taking the time to make this right & email me a copy of my multi focal prescription. I was happy with the exam & felt the optometrist did a thorough exam. Eyeglass Express in Gainesville quoted me $110 for an eye exam. After the exam was completed, I was charged an additional $100 contact lens fee that was never disclosed upfront. Total cost: $210 Customers deserve transparent pricing before services are performed. I was so upset especially since I had called to see how much I would be forking out & then was charged an additional $100. Plus I left with prescriptions, but not for the one for the multifocal contacts I wanted. Also, they never disclosed that there was an up charge for fitting for multi focal lens. Feels like a bait-and-switch. Customers deserve clear pricing upfront. So disappointed in this eyeglass company.

What an awesome experience I just had! I came in from out of town and realized I didn't have my glasses. I was using my sunglasses to drive at night and in the rain. I walked in and these people were so kind, helpful, and generous. I didn't feel rushed and they made my glasses while I waited so I could feel safe driving. I highly recommend!!!! And and I look cute in my Tory Burch glasses too! Thanks for your help!!!!

I just wanna share a little bit about my experience getting classes today. It’s been a long time coming when I say a long time coming two years has been long enough and times have been hard and for whatever reasons I haven’t been able to get another set of glasses. So today here I am at eyeglass express and for the first time in a long time I forgot how beautiful it was to have sight to see things correctly and not images or shadows. I’m getting older and I knew better but like I said situation circumstances I had to overcome. but the moral of the story is today it has today has been the best day of my life. I walked in here and just getting an eye exam not sure the certain certain circumstances if I was gonna be able to afford the glasses, but fortunately for me, I have an awesome man I have an awesome daughter and at the end my daughter she paid for my glasses just so that I can see again and you know to a person who’s where’s glasses all their life to struggle to see. I can’t imagine the people that have 2020 vision they realize how lucky they are to be able to see because I appreciate eyeglass express. I love y’all you putting me back together from our first encounter to this encounter and my first encounter was I had to get my glasses repaired, but they were all beat up and there was really no salvaging them the gentleman there said you know what I’ll do one better. I will attempt to fix it for you but there’s no guarantees if you walk out of here and at last you two weeks great and if it don’t not that I told you so, but pretty much I told you so, but the honesty that came the genuineness from this eyeglass express. I felt comfortable with them. It was welcoming. It was warming and I didn’t feel stupid and About explaining my circumstance income so things are hard so I wasn’t for sure but the staff is beautiful beautiful people beautiful company thanks to the team at eyeglass express for making my future and the future of my family a lot brighter now that I can see clearly.
