UF Health Children's Surgical Center

I’m honestly shocked by my own response to the care team at this facility my daughter has been coming here to do laser treatments and at first everything seem great we were treated well wait times were I would say expected after the treatment we were able to take our time in recovery and we were sent home with the proper care instructions and materials to tend to our daughters wounds HOWEVER the most recent visits in late December 2025 and early February 2026 we were extremely DISAPPOINTED we made it to our appointment 15 mins like asked and we waited over 3 and a half hours before our daughter was attended to, afterwards in recovery we asked for materials to change our daughters dressing within the first 48 hours at home we were told verbatim “oh we don’t have anymore you just kind of have to let her be” what professionalism is that ? Ontop of that we WERE RUSHED OUT THE DOOR LIKE oh she’ll get rest on the drive home what kind of nonsense is this honestly it’s just sad and pathetic these are kids they are dealing with I’m beyond disappointed.

my son had a procedure done today, we was sitting in the lobby waiting for them to get done , some men came out offering drinks/coffee didnt offer us anything at all. They called us to the back because he was finally finished & my baby started crying because of he’s hungry & he’s in pain, they lady beside us idk if she was a nurse or a discharge lady but she told the lady “ you always getting the crying 1’s “ which made me feel some type of way BECAUSE MY CHILD IS IN PAIN

My son went for surgery of his ears yesterday I told them that they needed to contact me before he came out of surgery so I could be in the recovery room cuz he has problems when he wakes up with me not being there they did not do it when I did get back there there's bruises all over my son's arm and on his chest I asked him to please explain to me where these bruises came from they told me they GENTLY snugged him to keep him safe when he woke up and was thrashing about, gently snugging a child a 6-year-old child that weighs 42 lb does not put bruises all over them. there was four grown adults manhandling my son that is very little. I didn't even get to see the doctor afterwards to find out what he done to my child very upset with this facility and it's staff

I must say im not a fan of UF majority of the time . My 2 yr old son had been set up to get tubes put in his ears & i had read these reviews and panicked. I usually like to check reviews of facilities especially when its dealing with my babies to see how other peoples experiences has went so i nervously went in to scope it out after reading all these reviews about all these bad experiences & one of the main ones was about eating in the lobby while waiting . This place has 6 signs that says no food or drink in the waiting area. Its pretty self explanatory . The lady was super nice and welcoming and the nurses in the back was bubbly & welcoming my son doesn’t do well at appointments and they worked with him patiently and even had coupe cars in the back for him to play with and i talked to ever nurse anesthesiologist & doctor that would be handling or dealing with my child & i cant say enough great things . Also called me at 8 am the next morning & checked on him & asked how my experience went . I hope my review makes a difference . From a scared mama to being comforted the whole time by a amazing team🙌🏼

Excellent experience. Could not have been treated better. The lady at the front desk was extremely understanding and helpful during our stay. The doctors and nurses kept us informed throughout the entire surgery. They truly treated my son as their own and eased us all.
