I took my nephew in to get glasses. He already had a prescription from another doctor. We were greeted as we walked in by from what I was told is the manager however he made no attempt to stand up or walk towards us. I think he was training a new person but it would have been nice for him to walk over to us and introduce himself. Thank goodness a lady named Karen came out and asked if we had been helped and I said no and she said she would be glad to help us. This lady was absolutely amazing at her job. Not only did she know about glasses but her customer service skills were above a five-star. We have not yet received the glasses but I had to take a moment and praise her. I understand this is not her regular store but she should do training around the area on how customer service Works in a retail / medical industry. She was beyond helpful in getting my nephew to pair of glasses and I'm hoping that when they come in she will happen to be at the Eustis location. I hope this reaches someone in corporate because this is how people should be treated. Thank you Karen for everything❣️ I definitely would not have given five stars if I had to rate how we felt when we first walked in. I hope that I don't have to update this with a lower score when we pick the glasses up if Karen is not there.

I came in june 5th for an eye exam only. I was patiently waiting for Dale to finish training some other lady so I can go about my day. I didnt say anything at that time but its rude to have your customer sitting there waiting until you're done training your employee, do that on your company time not mine.. he was so distracted that he messed up my account, applied my prescription to someone else's account and I paid for someone else copay as well. I called few days later when i noticed and I spoke with Steve and he told me my account is unpaid. Then Dale calls me the next day, saying that he fixed my account and my insurance covered my visit. Well where's my refund then?? Cause I sure never received it.. horrible service.
My sister bought two pair of glasses at Eyeglass World on 441 in Mount Dora, Florida. They were not cheap! She paid over $1,200 for them. And they were not correct the first time she got them back. She had them sent back, and when she got them back, again, they were not correct! Thank goodness she purchased the extra warranty. So they ended up, again sending them out to "fix" them. And they are Still Incorrect! What terrible craftsmanship! What a terrible experience! I love the optometrist, she is the only good thing there. But never will get glasses there, as they must hire incompetent people to work on their products! When my sister 's glasses come back in 7 to 10 days... maybe they will have figured it out and surprise us with a correctly made product. Anyone want to take a wager?
Dr. Meeks in the back was great. Totally separate operation than the employees up front. The General Manager has the worst customer service skills. We left and probably won’t go back for another set of frames. They did not make me feel welcome and were extremely unhelpful when picking up my new glasses. I see now all of the other poor reviews they have.
A whole office full of incompetence. From front desk to manager, it’s dumbfounding how disorganized and inept this staff is. On the third attempt to pick up a set of glasses(first two times they weren’t ready when they said to come get them), they sent me home with glasses that have a huge chip on both the frame and lenses. You’d have to be certified blind to not see the massive chunk missing in the corner of these Burberry glasses. The second attempt to pick up the glasses I was told I’d be called by a manager, never happened. Each time I’m there you can see staff shaking their head in disappointment because this is likely a daily occurrence of embarrassment. To management: if you don’t like your career choice, simply quit. You’d think with the amount of 1 star reviews in the last 6 months that Eyeglass World corporate would get involved in saving their brand.
