The optometrist today was amazing. Clear, friendly, professional and thorough. Wait time was minimal and she explained the procedures well. Once we went to settle up, the gentleman helping us (Boyd) was outgoing and polite. Unfortunately he did not seem well trained in using their internal system to check on co-pays and to book a follow up appointment. More training would have made a 20 minute check out a 5 minute checkout. So, great friendliness, but frustrating and, more importantly, shook our conference in Eyeglass World.

I’d like to share feedback regarding a recent phone interaction with Eyeglass World (951 & 41 location). Unfortunately, the experience was not just disappointing—it was genuinely surprising. The representative I spoke with was chewing gum audibly, repeatedly asking “are we done yet,” and made it clear that answering basic questions was apparently a major inconvenience. I was simply trying to get information on frames and verify my insurance—not ask for a personal favor. When I asked about product availability, I was told I would “need to come in and see,” which defeats the purpose of calling ahead. If the goal is to make customers feel unwelcome before they even walk through the door, this approach is working flawlessly. Customer service should be the easiest part of the job, not the most frustrating part of the customer experience. Based on this interaction alone, I’ll be picking up my prescription and taking my business elsewhere. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, because experiences like this don’t just lose one customer—they discourage future ones as well.
I called and was greeted with “Hello” Like I was calling someone’s phone. I had to ask if this was eyeglass world and I was met with Julie’s fantastic response of “yeah” I had to changed doctors office because she can’t find me in the system or my insurance but I have been going to eyeglass world for over 2 years. Julie’s phone etiquette is very unprofessional. If we don’t like the job find another one makes businesses look and SOUND horrible to go to it’s insane!!!
If i could leave zero stars I would. The level of unprofessionalism I encountered is completely unacceptable behavior for an establishment that deals with patients. The doctor was extremely polite and the only pleasant person we dealt with. From the moment we walked in, to all the way out the door, the hispanic woman at the front was mumbling at us and when we kindly asked her to speak a little louder, she began shouting at us rudely. We tried to ask questions and the only response we received was “ HUHH” at us. As someone who works in healthcare and takes pride in providing patient centered care, I would lose my job if I spoke to a patient the way I was spoken to. Such a shame we will not be recommending this center nor will be returning. Highly suggest hiring people that are trained to atleast act profesional.
I had an appointment this afternoon with Dr. Miller - and it was great! He was personable, knowledgeable, and thorough. I felt like I got a good value for the $95 fee. When I went to pick out new glasses, it went downhill. The clerk was very nice and not pushy - but the “2 for $200” glasses with progressive lenses quickly became $250 (frame choice), then $345 (wider view progressive), then $690 (polycarbonate lenses). We didn’t even get to the anti-reflective treatment, or tint/transition or whatever else they would have eventually added. And if I had ordered, “same day” really meant Monday (3 days) and judging from the people complaining their glasses weren’t ready sealed my decision to thank them for a good eye exam and order glasses elsewhere. Bottom line: great exam from Dr. Miller. Typical retail bait and switch pricing on glasses.
