Had a great experience with the Optometrist, but not a great experience with purchasing the glasses. You are sat in a room with others while trying on glasses and the person helping me showed me all the different glasses available but never asked about budget or brought up pricing. Once I selected the pair I liked the best, the sticker shock comes. Why have me try on glasses that are outside of my price range? Also discussing best style for my face type and pricing in a room with other customers is uncomfortable. I felt pressured to buy the glasses because I had spent so much time finding a pair that worked. The part that really upsets me is the pair of glasses I bought leave deep marks on my nose to the point of leaving scabs. I brought them in to be adjusted and they said there isn’t really much to be done and I asked if they had the little nose slip pads to add so they don’t slide so much and they said no, they don’t carry them. What?? And referred me to a different business. While I was there, I thought “why don’t I buy a second pair that will be more comfortable?” When trying on new glasses, the sales associate commented on the red marks on my nose and I said that’s why I’m here so it was clear that I need something that won’t do that. I was fitted with and purchased a pair of $400 glasses that hurt my nose even more than the first. I brought them in to be adjusted and was told since they are plastic frame without nose pieces, They can’t be adjusted at all. So now I’ve wasted $800 on two pairs of glasses that I can’t wear.

Previously had positive experiences here, until recently. A few months ago, I had to get a prescription transferred from one pharmacy to another, and it was an absolute nightmare trying to get help with this - I had to call at least 6 times, and was met with rudeness and dismissiveness by the receptionist (her name my have been Heather?) Today, I came in for an appointment a few minutes late. They have a 10 min late appointment policy on their front door, I walked in maybe 45 seconds after this window (the time on my phone read 11 minutes after as I walked in the door). I was told I can't be seen, and had to reschedule for a new appointment 3 weeks out. When I pleaded to be seen as I had come from far away during the workday, I was told that wasn't possible because they were running behind on a previous appointment. The receptionist also lied to my face, telling me I walked in at 15 after. This is rich considering I've never been seen on time in any of my appointments coming here. I get having policies, but it really feels like the staff here doesn't have any consideration or empathy for patients.
I was referred to Eyes of the World by another optometrist and initially had a good experience during my first appointment. Unfortunately, the contact lens prescription I received wasn’t correct, so they brought me back for a second exam. After the second visit, the prescription was still off, so I provided a previous prescription from another doctor for reference. I was then told I would need to come back for a third exam. What frustrated me most was the interaction I had when calling to schedule that appointment. The receptionist I spoke with was very rude and unprofessional, and I was made to feel like I was being a nuisance simply for trying to get the correct prescription. I understand mistakes can happen, but I expected better communication and customer service throughout the process.
A very courteous and prompt staff. Very efficient and did not waste my time by making me wait forever. Would definitely recommend
The most pleasant eye exam I’ve ever had ! The doctor was thorough and kind. Super nice optician, too! Located in a cool, historic mansion. So happy with my experience.
