I went to Specs for prescription sunglasses and they were very expensive IMO for something I could loose at the lake or the beach. They recommend eyewear junkie. I went there and Sam was extremely helpful. I did not see a pair I liked and she asked if I had a pair in my possession that I liked, she could put my script in those. Perfect! Sam took my sunglasses and said about 2 weeks. Well, 8 days later, they came in and they are perfect. Insurance paid most of it and they were alot cheaper than when I originally purchased them from my Dr.'s office. THANK YOU SAM!

To say that I’m disappointed in Eyewear Junkie would be an extreme understatement. The first pair of glasses I got from them didn’t fit, which is no fault of their own. What they are at fault for is neglecting to tell me that they were in. They were in the store for six, maybe seven days and I only knew they were in because I called to check. I then ordered a new pair of glasses on a Monday and I decided to call and check on the status that Friday. That is when I discovered that the employee never submitted my order to the lab. Because of their mistake, my order was delayed. It’s now been three weeks and I still don’t have my glasses. Something keeps going wrong at their lab and they’re having to remake them. I get no phone calls to update me and when I do call, they’ll tell me they’ll call back with an update and hours will go by with no response. I then call back and am told they’ll leave a message for a manager. Guess what? No call back. I have to continue calling until I get ahold of the manager. I can’t fault them for what the lab does, but I do fault them for their lack of communication and follow up. You’d think after so many mistakes were made on their end, that they’d have the lab rush the order or at least offer me some type of compensation for their incompetence. Once I (hopefully) get my glasses, I will never make another purchase from them unless they perform a miracle and make things right. If you’re thinking about shopping here, use caution and don’t get your hopes up. Maybe their Derby location is better, but I wouldn’t risk it. Edit to add: I finally got my glasses (05/13/2026) and I do have to say that their lab did a good job. I wish there wasn’t as many issues getting them, but their lab did do a good job on the lenses. My one star review is based off of Eyewear Junkie’s customer service, not the quality of the glasses.

Very easy, enjoyable experience getting new glasses after 10 years with my last pair. Staff was helpful, pleasant and easy to work with through every step of the process. Two new pairs of glasses arrived in under two weeks and look fantastic! When one pair needed a fit adjustment, I was simply able to walk in and have them adjusted on the spot for a quick fix.

These glasses were MANGLED 5 minutes ago. The lens had fallen out and the nose pieces were completely disoriented and smushed. I went in and told Gabby I was devastated because these were my favorite pair, and she had them fitting me perfectly without a scratch in less than 5 minutes. She didn’t even charge me anything! THIS is why I buy all of my glasses and sunglasses here. Thanks Gabby!!

Service is fantastic, eyewear is superior. Very relaxed atmosphere, doorside parking. Grab a sandwich and tea next door at McAlister's after your great experience at Eyewear Junkie!!!
