I’m writing this review for the ophthalmology department. The actual eye exam process was fine, but the pre-exam experience is something I didn’t think I’d ever need to recover from. The staff member who did my initial testing had extremely strong garlic breath. Like… powerful enough that it became the main thing I was focusing on during an eye appointment. When someone is inches away from your face during an eye exam, there is truly no escape route. I came in to check my vision, not test my ability to stay calm under garlic pressure. I fully understand people have lives and lunch breaks, but maybe heavy garlic meals right before being face-to-face with patients is a risky choice in ophthalmology specifically. Everything else was fine, but that one detail will unfortunately be living in my memory longer than my prescription results.

I switched to Facey after having Kaiser for many years. Big mistake, open enrollment can't come soon enough! Took me 5 months (May 2026) to even establish care because my 1st appointment was canceled the morning of when the doctor called out. When I finally did go in she spent all of 10 minutes with me and did not address any of my concerns. I was referred to Endocrinology for an ongoing medical issue, 1st available appointment is in December. At Kaiser I could walk in for a mammogram, Facey could do it in August, mind you I have a family history of breast cancer. I was given a prescription and when I looked up why, the doctor had put the most generic code ever that is almost always denied. My last email to her was completely ignored. Live and learn, I'd switch back to Kaiser now if I could.

They had me fill out my information an reason for visiting, then had me fill out a small like 8 questions questionnaire and then wait 30 minutes to be seen. They then did a very fast 3 minute screening checking blood pressure I’m pretty sure, then had me waiting in another doctors office for 20 minutes for him to talk to me for 5 minutes and say nothing is wrong, then they have the audacity to charge me 360$ for an hour when I really only spoke to one doctor for 5 minutes and 30$ for the stupid questionnaire. My insurance covered most of it but the audacity to charge that much for basically telling me nothing wasting my time and not even doing what they were charging me for

I switched over to this office from the Tarzana location and have had nothing but issues. I saw the dr once. She refused to give me the referrals to my specialists that I have been seeing for years. Then she cancelled 2 appointments in a row on me. Now I’m out of a medication I need to take every day because she has not responded to the pharmacy. Terrible

I had the worst visit at my doctors office today with Simon Dartashi. He questioned if I saw a therapist who talks about issues when we are talking about what’s physically wrong with me. Why is a doctor questioning my mental state? I’m in so much freakin pain and he still didn’t help me figure out the issue. He recommended more things after I HAD TO ASK. This is ridiculous. Horrible and a waste of a day today. Does FACEY hire anyone with chat GPT credentials?
