Family Eye Care

Terrible experience! I have never left a non favorable review until now. My wife went to Family Eye care and said she liked Dr Sikora so I called to make an appointment. They said it would be like 6 weeks out I made an appointment over the next 6 weeks I was called twice and text messaged 4 time. That seemed like a sign of greed and desperation, I’m a responsible adult I’ve never missed an appointment. In the meantime i called to see if her glasses were In and they said ops sorry they have been here for 2 weeks. She picked them up. For the next 2 weeks she keeps saying she was having trouble getting use to her bifocals. She when back to FECare. Ops they put the wrong lenses in. They sent for new ones 2 weeks ago. Before memorial day. My wife called 06/09/26 no answer left message. No call back. I called today and was told ops the tracking says they arrived here on 06/01/26 and we can’t find them here, so we reordered them they will be in In the next week or 2. Unacceptable!!!! ( in the weeks in between the above debacle) First off I would like to say that Dr Sikora was great and thorough, and most of the staff was very kind, polite, and helpful. The “sales”person that was showing me glasses was rude and unprofessional. She pointed to the glasses I was to choose from. I Was not asked what kind of glasses I was looking for. Out of the ones in the section I was shown,,I chose a pair to try on. When I asked to see two other pairs she seemed very put off. I will have them a couple years I want to like them. I asked what portion I would be responsible to pay for. Again she seemed put off. She said the price, which was in line. She asked me to look at her and she quickly marked the one lens. But she didn’t measure my eyes or mark the other lens. I have purchased many pairs of bifocal glasses over the years. I this point I was creeped out and didn’t what to do business with them, I asked for my prescription ask if I owed anything And left. I have had enough after My wife gets her glasses that she has paid for we won’t be back!!!!

Dr. Rigous was very kind and helpful with my minor eye issue. I really appreciated that I was able to get in the same day that it started. I would definitely recommend this office!

Horrible place all they were trying to do was up sell me glasses they added random fees onto my bill never told me about and looked at me like i was stupid for asking what they were charging me for and overall was the worst experience I ever had the doctor was great very sweet but the people who try to con you into expensive glasses so they get a pay out is ridiculous this isnt a doctors place to get eye help its a place thats looking for a payout where ever they can glasses are already so expensive and unfortunately something we have to get but it shouldn't be done this way I walked out defeated sad and hating the glasses I got and hoping I never have to go back there

My glasses broke and the ladies here took such good care of me and the situation. I am very impressed and at first wasn't sure if I was going to be back, but I absolutely will be.

Both my husband and daughter had appointments with Dr. Duncan last week. Dr. Duncan relied heavily on the base prescription provided by the automated measuring devices, spending insufficient time confirming that the prescription was optimal.  Only two options (last year’s prescription and the prescription from 2 years ago) were presented to my daughter to determine which was better, and these options were only displayed one time on each eye, not even once with both eyes together.  This abbreviated prescription verification was all that was done, despite her mentioning to staff that she was having difficulty reading with her current prescription.  As a new driver, it is even more critical for her to be able to see clearly.  She was sent home with the exact same prescription as last year. My husband’s experience was only mildly improved.  He was given three options to choose from when confirming the prescription (astigmatism correction, axis, etc...) instead of two.  Again, this is not enough information to verify that the automated prescription is accurate.  My husband was not experiencing issues with his current prescription, but every other optometrist has spent significantly more time verifying the prescription to determine that it will enable their patient to see as well as possible. I called the office to voice these concerns and discuss our options to have my daughter's prescription reevaluated but have yet to hear back from anyone regarding these concerns. We took my daughter to a different optometrist today (paying out of pocket). Surprise, surprise - her prescription had changed. We have been patients at this office for 20 years, and never had an issue with Dr. Seria or Dr. Cater. With Dr. Duncan as the sole provider now, we will not be back. The quality of care that he provides is overwhelmingly insufficient.
