Family Eye Care

My family and I have been going to Family Eye Care for many years and will continue to in the future. The eye exam is thorough and they always take the time to answer any questions and explain things to you. Dr. Nancy and her team are first rate. Obviously I highly recommend Family Eye Care.

I have been going here for years for myself and now my two daughters. The care I typically receive is personalized and I leave feeling like all of our eyes are in good hands. However, the last 5 minute interaction I had here was less than adequate. I was asked to come back with my younger daughter age 5, to assess her vision with her glasses (we forgot them for her actual appointment). A quick exam was what I was told. When I arrived for this quick exam I was greeted with confusion and then reluctance to proceed with the evaluation. I felt that my child was not given a thorough exam and we were rushed out because “ the exam really isn’t necessary unless there is a concern.” I left the office with more concerns than I walked in with. This particular interaction was not the typical experience I receive from the staff here. That 5 minutes has me second guessing years of loyalty.

My 4 year old failed the state vision test earlier in the year and we were told to get him checked by a doctor. I called every eye doctor that took our insurance but no one wanted to take on a pediatric patient who didn’t know their letters and numbers yet. Completely destroyed and defeated I called family eye care expecting the same outcome but to my surprise they accepted our insurance and his case without hesitation! They got us in within a couple days of seeking them out and our experience was nothing but amazing! The doctor and her staff were all very professional and treated my young child like he mattered and just overall amazing! After following her orders we came back again a few months later and my son didn’t have improvement so he got glasses. The staff up front showed me exactly where to look, gave suggestions and were very helpful and supportive of all additional financial add ons and even gave advice on recommendations. Only thing is that I wish I didn’t have to wait so long to get his glasses, but we overall are pleased and plan on transferring our whole family from America’s Best to Family Eye Care!!

I love this practice! I found it the first year I had vision insurance. Everyone is knowledgeable and helpful. They look for the best options for you and don’t necessarily push the most expensive ones. My husband went here too. He and Jan developed an “inside joke “ that they used every visit. When I told her he had passed away she was truly saddened. On my last visit last month I informed them that I was moving out of state. They felt so sincere in their disappointment that I would no longer be a patient I am honestly considering just coming back every year for my exam! They are like family!

The name fits! Dr Nancy is the Best! I feel welcome and the staff is very helpful. First time in a long time that I had not had to come back and get my glasses remade.
