The entire staff is wonderful. Dr. Dunn is caring, thorough, and always takes the time to listen. I never feel rushed during my appointments and truly appreciate the level of care he provides. Allison is the best—not only at her job, but as a person. I was having a difficult day and was in a rush, and she showed so much grace and kindness while making sure I was seen in time to make my next appointment. That level of compassion means so much. Highly recommend this office!

As always, my visit with Family Vision Care was superb. Everyone there is and was super nice. I never have to wait and most of the time I’m taken in early. The staff always makes me feel comfortable and accomplish their tasks with precision and professionalism. Dr. Dunn is exceptional in the way he takes care of his patients. He is never rushed and makes you feel at ease as he explains every detail of your appointment. I would certainly recommend Dr. Dunn and Family Vision Care to anyone looking for eye care.
My husband and I were very disappointed with our experience at Family Vision Care. We are both young and healthy, with our only vision issues being mild and moderate nearsightedness. After going in for routine annual exams and new contacts/glasses, we felt misled by the lack of pricing transparency and affordable options. During my contact fitting, I told the optometrist I was interested in biweekly or monthly lenses because of budget concerns. She said she doesn’t recommend those types, so I was prescribed daily lenses instead. Because I had mentioned cost, I assumed the option prescribed would be reasonably affordable—but they were premium lens with the typical higher cost. I later had to call back and ask to be refit for a different lens (still a daily) that was slightly more affordable. My husband also needed updated lenses for his existing frames and specifically asked for the most affordable option. We were surprised when the cost was about $300 (pre insurance). In the past, I’ve had standard single vision lenses replaced for well under $150 (pre insurance). When we went back to ask about the price, we were told the lenses were made with Trivex instead of polycarbonate because the practice doesn’t recommend polycarbonate due to inferior durability and clarity. The lenses also included blue light filtering, anti-glare, anti-scratch, and a small warranty. What was frustrating is that we clearly asked for the most affordable option. It felt like the more budget-friendly materials either weren’t truly offered or were presented in a way that made choosing them feel unreasonable. I’ve previously worn basic polycarbonate lenses for years without issues. While I dont deny that both daily contacts and trivex lenses are the preferred options from a vision standpoint, that doesn't mean the are the best fit for a patient's overall needs/concerns. We decided to accept the cost this year, but we’ll be taking our business to a different in-network provider next year—somewhere that better respects patients’ need for transparency and affordable options and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable expressing that need.
Dr. Daxx and staff have always made visits to the eye doctor painless and interesting. He is by far the most knowledgeable eye doctor I have ever visited as well as the most humble. He is great at explaining even the most complex methods in simple terms. Also he's great with kids of all ages. We'd give him 10 stars!
I enjoyed another annual eye checkup here recently. The staff is friendly & I feel confident in their knowledge. I always feel like I’m in good hands!
