Appointment went great. Pleased with doctor and optician. Found a great pair of glasses and loved Dr. Tower. Staff was so nice and pleasant. Front desk was very efficient and helpful. Christine and Kim were great. Highly recommend them. I went to Ashland office and will definitely go back again
Dr. Jordan and the rest of the staff are the best! They are thorough and professional. Dr. Jordan takes the time to explain everything she sees in her examination so that it is easy to understand. Everyone works to make your time there comfortable and productive. They obviously have your eye health and wellbeing in mind.
I have been a patient of Dr Tower for over a decade and have had nothing but excellent service from her and her staff. Unfortunately she has sold the business to this bigger firm. Even though she is still there, since taking over this company has made changes that seems to be a trend. Such as not taking insurance and becoming a concierge company where you pay a membership fee. I have had to find another Dr. because of this. When trying to retain my records I was told that they will send them over to my new Dr (who I have not picked) upon explaining this I was told they only send the past 2 exams over to the new Dr anyway, which baffled me because I have medical eye issues also. I explained I would like to have all my records and even though the representative was polite she was pretty much not wanting to do this explaining that they do not have the records there that they are on a "different server". I told her even more the reason to have them. I told her that I didn't mind paying a fee or even bringing my own hard drive to have them put on but I wanted all my records. She finally agreed. Not really sure why its such a big deal to obtain your own records. I have had to obtain records from other Drs with no issues. I knew when this company took over it was not going to be good as the care has also declined in ways such as, long waiting times, things being "rushed" and the Dr not taking the time to explain things as before. I would now get "Ill give you a call to discuss what I found". This never happened when Dr Tower owned the company and it had more of a “family” feel. Highly disappointed now but I guess it doesn't matter because I have to leave. I have talked to others in the health industry and they have a name for these Drs and companies who are going with this trend and they call them "rich people Drs" because not only are you paying for your insurance that they don't take, you also have to pay a "membership fee" plus retain your insurance and pay the copay for any medical problems. Its basically a way for them to not have to deal with the insurance company anymore. Which in a way I can understand but it makes it bad for us "regular people". When I went to pick up my records I notice that they now have signage up stating that they only retain 5 years of records and past records are destroyed. Crazy that they think its ok to destroy “your” records.
Dr. Tower is great! She's very professional and does a lot of client education about your eye health. I've been a patient here for over 15 years. The staff is friendly and professional. Plus they are always on schedule with my appointment time, so no waiting.
