My wife had an eye exam scheduled at Fielmann Vision Care in Machesney Park and, by chance, it happened to be their grand opening. We drove 1 hour and 20 minutes to get there, and it was absolutely worth the trip. She couldn’t stop talking about how thorough Dr. Fitzgerald was and how patiently she listened to all of her questions. She also appreciated that she never felt rushed. Instead of feeling like another customer being moved through an assembly line, the entire experience felt personal and unhurried. While she was choosing frames, they even had activities outside to keep our boys entertained, which made the experience so much easier for our family. Fielmann also had an impressive selection of frames at every price point, and we ended up leaving with new glasses for my wife and both of our boys. Exceptional customer service, a modern and inviting office, and a team that genuinely cares about their patients. We’re so glad we made the drive and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Fielmann Vision Care.

Omgosh. I'm not sure who gave this 5 stars. I went there Monday. Only one woman was there to help. I picked out a frame I really liked. It was $187. So I asked her to quote me a price on progressive lenses. It took her a few minutes, and told me $850. I was astounded. I asked her if she was sure. Yep. I walked out. Went to LensCrafters. Picked out an Armani frame for $487. First of all, I was shocked. A guy asked if he could help. I said they were too expensive. He said frames and lenses were 40 percent off. Total price $505. And, btw, the place was busy with customers and people to help. I thought Shopco Optical would definitely be more reasonable. Stay away from that place.

My husband and I get our eye exams every year at this location. Dr Fitzgerald gives a very thorough exam and takes time to make sure you have any questions answered. She is also very pleasant and caring about any concerns you have about your eyes. The staff goes above and beyond to help you with ordering your glasses or anything else you need help with. I have returned to have my glasses adjusted, and repaired ( my fault) and CJ makes sure that it gets done correctly. He is always willing to go the mile to help correct the problem. Special "Thank You" to you CJ! I appreciate it! Everyone working in that location is always very pleasant to deal with!!! I would highly recommend this location for exams, glasses or contacts needs!

Kelsey was an amazing and helpful person while she was helping me! She helped me choose my glasses and the doctor is always cheerful and informative. 5 stars is too low for such amazing service!

I stopped into Fielmann for the first time today. Chrissy was wonderful. She was friendly, efficient, and took care of my needs. The selection of glasses is top notch.
