Terrible experience concerning office staff. Had to cancel my scheduled surgery due to incorrect Billing and poor service. Between several call centers and Renee, pretending that she is not in the office, avoiding to come to the phone, thats including with my insurance BCBS. I would advise everyone to triple check with your insurance, because they don't know what they are doing , when it comes to billing and are overcharging. ('m talking about the insurance part), not the laser which I know is not covered by the insurance. Dr Patel was nice and the Surgery center did their job. I canceled last week, the scheduled appointment for this Thursday and the upcoming one in 2 weeks. But of course the unprofessional Riverside office staff " Renee and Co " did not advise the surgery center that ," thanks to their unprofessionalism" that I no longer feel comfortable moving forward with their team and to cancel the surgery appointment. So this morning I talked to Andrea with the surgery center after receiving an email to confirm the surgery for this Thursday. And again I had to do their job and cancel the upcoming appointment with Andrea who was very professional and also sent me follow up emails to show the cancelation.

Wow! I have been searching for a good eye doctor since the Myles brothers closed their Jacksonville location and moved to Palatka. I was with them for over 20 years. I'm so loyal, I like to find good, trustworthy and knowledgeable people and you've got me for life. I had been so disappointed because that was so hard to find. But, I started having eye pain and my eye became very sensitive to light. So, I needed to find a doctor quick. I did a Google search for eye doctors close to me and nobody had appointments available. So, I called FES and had several offices around town. I was able to schedule an appointment the same day. I was not expecting to find my people. The great, trustworthy and knowledgeable team was apparent from the very beginning. When I checked in the process was seamless...easy peezy because I had prefilled out all the paperwork but I missed two and those 2 were the only ones I had to complete. Then there was a delay, the doctor had gotten backed up. I was so impressed, because the office manager Michelle stepped in and took my vitals and information. She was amazing. Then the doctor came in, Dr. Ashley Cowart and her assistant. I didn't get his name but he was wonderful as well. I haven't experienced such thorough service in years. I didn't think service like that existed anymore. Let me tell you what this woman did. She examined me and she said okay, so this can be a situation where this can turn into something major. So, she prescribed eye medication but she said let me give you our emergency number, if you have any problems getting this prescription call this number. She Then said I need to follow up with you tomorrow because I need to make sure this prescription is working so this situation doesn't get worse. She didn't have any appointments available and I didn't have anymore days to take off so she called her staff and had them double book me to get me in at a time I could make it. Fast forward I have complications getting my prescription from Walmart. I call the emergency number and the doctor on call is going to bat for me with Walmart pharmacy. I ended up having to get my prescription from Walgreens. The next morning the doctor's office follows up to make sure I'm good. I love this place. I have found my people. They are sooo good. I'm so excited.

Called to see about changing locations for my YAG procedure and to complain about staff at Southpoint location. Was told there was nothing they could do and would have to deal with that location. Dr Riveschel is a good surgeon, but Florida eye specialist location is horrible.

Dr. Patel and all the support staff are amazing and very caring. They made the whole process easier and comfortable with care and great communication throughout. I highly recommend Dr. Patel especially if you tend to have anxiety over eye treatments.
