Forest Family Eye Care

I must give these great people a five star review because they helped me out in what might have been an eye emergency. We were visiting from out of state when I began to see little flashes of light which could have indicated a retinal problem. Dr. Horvath saw me in a few hours and thankfully it was nothing serious. His exam was extremely thorough and thankfully put my mind at ease. Kaitlyn and Cherish were so kind and accommodating. If you’re searching for an eye doctor — this is a great place!!

I have gone to Forest Family Eye Care since moving to the area several years ago. Everyone there is always friendly and helpful. Every visit has been a positive one. I have seen several optometrists over the years while living in other states and one in this area. Dr. Ader is by far the best optometrist I have ever had. I feel he has been the first to consistently get my glasses prescription right. He is always personable, thoughtful, very thorough in his evaluations, and is always glad to answer any questions that you might have regarding your vision. He is extremely knowledgeable. I have learned a lot about my vision problems because he takes the time to share his knowledge and I really appreciate that. Additionally, I feel his charges are very reasonable and billing is extremely efficient. That's an added bonus. This area is very lucky to have Dr. Ader. I would recommend him and Forest Family Eye Care to anyone looking for excellent vision care.

First pair of glasses was a great experience. No issues. Second pair of glasses not so much. Could not see out of them at all at night. Turns out the prescription they wrote was too strong. I came out to the office (30 minute drive each way). They completed a second exam and said they would order new lenses. After not hearing from them for a few weeks, I followed up and "oops" they did not re-order because they did not chart the results from the second eye exam. Typical medical care in Central Virginia. They screwed up. I had to follow up with them and not apology for the inconvenience.

Dr. Kevin Ader and his staff are very professional, compassionate, and skilled in what they do. My examination was very expansive, and informative. I highly recommend this location, services, and will return for my follow ups.

I have been going to Forest Family Eye Care for several years now. They have always been a very friendly and the doctors have done a great job with my glasses and contacts. I would highly recommend to anyone in the area looking for an Eye Care facility. I have been to others who did not perform nearly as well, so I was very pleased with Forest Family Eye Care.
