I had a very disappointing experience ordering prescription glasses for my toddler. I visited once to look at frames and was told to bring my child back for fitting. When I returned, my toddler behaved like many toddlers do—walking around and needing redirection. I asked the salesperson for help selecting frames and whether a black version was available. Instead of assisting, he remained seated and responded, “I have to take a look at the frame 1st” When I explained that I couldn’t complete the order todaywithout some help, he said, “Today is probably not the best day to do this,” and later, “you should be able control your kid what do you want me to do, grab your kid and make him cry?” I was never expecting anyone to discipline or restrain my child. I simply expected guidance and customer service while purchasing expensive prescription glasses in a pediatric hospital. Families bringing toddlers to a children’s hospital deserve patience, professionalism, and a willingness to help. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. This is a white lean guy with black glass and mustache I did expect assistance in selecting and fitting frames. His comments felt dismissive and did not reflect the level of patient-centered service I expected from a pediatric hospital. I hope staff working with young children receive training on how to support families during the fitting process.” I am sorry but I did say you are the worse salesperson i have seen

We took my 15 month old to get her glasses here. They were awesome. They took the time to try 7-8 pairs on her until we found the best fit. Her glasses were ready quickly as well. I highly recommend them!
Eric Reeder is wonderful! He is friendly, patient, professional and knowledgeable! My daughter is picky and she has her own ideas of frames, lens, colors, etc, but he is so kind and patient with us! Erik also had a great understanding about custom service. The team cares about making each customer feel great about their selection/choices. We loved our experience with Eric. Highly recommended!
Great experience with every staff member, excellent and professional, wonderful customer service!
I have been bringing my kids to Medford Optical (at Waltham) for 4+ years. I can't say enough positive things about their quality and service. My kids' ophthalmologist is at Tufts but we make the drive to Waltham for the glasses because we always have a good experience. There's a huge selection and the employees are great at answering questions and offering advice. My kids are young and active and their glasses always stay on!! Through playgrounds, soccer, etc.. they never have issues with their glasses slipping or falling off. In fact, the ophthalmologist always comment on how the glasses are well-fitted. The employees at Medford Optical take time and care to ensure that the glasses are just right. They have a good replacement policy if breakage occurs, which I have used more than once! I highly recommend them :)
