I like everything about French Optical. Located at 7 East 33rd in the shadow of The Empire State Building, the friendly and extremely knowledgeable staff answered all my questions, and were very patient with me while I browsed over their massive assortment of top name brand frames and endless options for lens treatments. But, in my defense, they carry all the best brands in the world, and there’s so much to see. You could literally spend all day there, and I have…almost. If you are looking for Dita, Lindberg, ic Berlin, Thom Browne, Theo, and many more, this is the best place in Manhattan to find them all in one place. I also appreciate the speed in which my order was filled and the awesome follow up customer service. Just a fantastically run business staffed by great people. I brought in my Lindberg Buffalo horn frames for maintenance — frames I hadn’t even purchased here — and the experience completely won me over. The staff went above and beyond with exceptional kindness, and the quality of their work was truly outstanding. They treated my frames with the care and precision of master craftsmen, despite having no obligation to do so. That kind of integrity is rare and deeply appreciated. This is now my go-to eyewear store. I’ll be back for my next pair of glasses without a doubt. Highest recommendation!

If you love colorful, fun glasses you must visit French Optical. They give a whole new meaning to “eye candy.” I had an excellent eye exam and I bought a fantastic pair of glasses. They also adjusted several pairs of glasses that I brought in at no charge. Excellent customer service from talented, nice people.

Amazing. I have funky eyes and am a generally persnickety person. Their staff indulged me and spent a lot of time walking me through the glasses and lenses options for my progressive prescription. The results are amazing. The lenses are so clear and I’m very happy with the results. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I had the most pleasant experience at French Optical. The moment I walked in to check out frames and set up an eye exam appointment for the next day, I knew this would be my new go to shop for all my eyewear needs. Lisette and all the staff are so charming and personable. Truly felt like I was speaking to friends and landed on these super gorgeous dark wine colored Blake Kuwahara glasses. They were able to do same day lenses for me and it took only 45 minutes. Dr. Michelle Chun was very knowledgeable and she informed me on ways to prevent dry eyes due to my profession. I’ve never received glasses in under 2 weeks post eye exam before so this was beyond a treat. I will recommend to anyone and will be back for some sunnies next 😎
