Currently in the process of trying to get a refund for glasses I ordered for my son less than 24 hrs ago. DO NOT purchase from here unless you are sure bc they have a NO REFUND policy. I paid full price up front (trying to be a good customer) and was charged a card fee of 16$ that I wasn’t aware of. I have lots of reasons why I want a refund but I feel like as the customer I simply reserve the right to change my mind. It is so much easier to order glasses online and I felt that I as a customer was doing right by them by coming in and spending my money locally, but I did not receive the service I feel I deserve. I know I am only one customer but I have spent money here several times over the last 10 years. If this issue cannot be resolved I will not return. And maybe they won’t care. I know they have their policies, and I’ve learned to always read before signing, think before buying!! BUT it’s important to do right by good customers in these situations when you can. I will update if the issue is resolved.

Absolutely disgusting with how they bill people , I went for a routine eye exam to get new glasses, new script , new glasses . I have eye insurance, I get a free exam once a year and so much on frames. That day I paid 150 and rest covered by insurance .Well this certain appt was strictly for that reason my eye script and glasses, the unreasonable billing lady coded it medical an when I tried to call and explain the situation, she was like no no respectable place would change coding , also pretty much told me since I had one ocular migraine in my whole life my eye insurance that I pay for is useless. In this economy they code it where you have to pay out of pocket , your eye insurance is useless, and they also bill your medical insurance. Seems like fraud to me and disgusting, they make it so what you pay is tripled and the billing lady at martinsville needs to be educated on how to talk to people . I guarantee if they would let me speak to the eye doctor he would fix it but no billing lady is ALL KNOWING MOTHER LORD , that was her attitude. Now they have lost at least 6-7 family members that will not be back since they do not want to be scammed ! Update : absolutely nothing they do not care about you as a customer or the problems billing code error can cause .

I will start by saying, I’ve been going here for a few years and never had issues until this point. The main issue was finding out that the prescription in my right eye lenses were the wrong prescription, I bought the glasses from Friedrichs the year before and find out I’ve been walking around with the wrong lenses for a year! And this year they’re telling me that eye is weaker than last year. The doctor tried to blame the place they send them off too, but even said himself, that their supposed to check them for accuracy before given to me. I never received the first apology. I also had to pay $40 to get my pupil measurements so I could order my glasses elsewhere. Also note: I still bought glasses from them this year, which was about $500. Which is what I spend every year with them. The second issue is a note to the LGBTQIA+ community: I had checked in the day before online and one of the questions was for my emergency contact/someone to share my medical information with, so I put my wife’s name, it didn’t ask any other information. Day of, the lady at the front desk is going through my information and asks “is ‘wife’s name’ your mom?” I said no, that’s my wife. She very easily could have just said “what is your relationship to ‘wife’s name?” and we wouldn’t have had the issue. Third: I usually love the lady that helps pick out the glasses, but she was not having a good day, so of course I got the repercussions of it. She barely spoke to me the whole time other than to tell me the prices. The other lady that was helping patients seemed very nice, but it seems this day I just drew the short end of the stick all the way around. Last: the doctor was nice enough, even though he didn’t apologize for his offices mistakes or offer ANY kind of compensation. The lady that checked my eyes the old fashioned way, instead of the awful machine, was so kind and took the time to get my right eye cleared up. And the lady that checked me out was so kind and helpful, so at least the end of my appointment was good. I really hope all of this is just a fluke and they were having a bad day, but considering my prescription was messed up a year ago it may not be the first. I feel like I was very mistreated as a patient and no one cared enough to even apologize. I hope they actually take my words into consideration and change, but I think I will be going elsewhere after I receive my glasses.

Got glasses from here and they became extremely scratched just from normal wear and cleaning with the provided cloth from them. I took them back in and got them replaced with my warranty. A month later the lens finally come in. The guy cut them at the Collinsville location. After having them for less than two weeks I found fractures around the edges of the lenses. I took them in to be looked at. The blonde haired woman with glasses told me they were coming apart from the inside and shouldn’t be doing that since I had just gotten them less than 2 weeks ago. I left my only pair of glasses there to be repaired per what she told me. 5 hours later I received a call from them stating that since I already used my warranty I couldn’t get them replaced. She made sure to inform me multiple times that I could purchase new ones though. She then asked me what I did to them to make them look that way. It was a complete 180 from what I was told 5 hours before. So now I am stuck without a pair of glasses unless I want to purchase lens again that will not be covered under my insurance because it has been less than a year since I have received them. Friedrichs eye center are straight criminals and should be treated as such. They just robbed me of the ability to see until next year sometime. I am disabled and on a fixed income and they could care less on how much I have to pay. I had trouble getting my daughter’s glasses too. As you can see in the included pictures it is internal. There is no way possible for myself to have done this. Either they are defective lenses or the whitehead guy who works in the lab cut them wrong which caused them to break. Either way my family of 5 that currently goes there will no longer be using this horrible practice, that takes advantage of people with lower incomes. They have also been harassing me for a year now about appointments that I have canceled numerous times. They continue to send me texts reminding me of the appointments and then call me at 8am to ask where we are and why we aren’t at our appointment. I have asked them to stop calling me since I have already canceled the appointments for myself and my children but I have yet to receive the curtesy of them doing what I ask. Once again horrible place and horrible customer service. Would not recommend to my worst enemy.

A very good doctor he made it plain to me what he would do and what he wouldn’t do, I understand, and I enjoyed the knowledge that he gave me
