It is hard to put into words how grateful we are to Dr. Poland, Dr. Strauss, and their amazing teams. When Dr. Poland first recommended cataract surgery for my mom (Victoria Afaifo), I was honestly hesitant. At her age, I was worried the procedure might be too much for her because I didn’t really understand what cataract surgery involved. Dr. Poland patiently answered my questions and reassured me with such confidence and compassion that I felt comfortable moving forward. Looking back, I’m so thankful we trusted his recommendation. Dr. Strauss and his team performed cataract surgery on both of my mom’s eyes, and they were absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, everyone treated her with kindness, patience, and genuine care. They made her feel completely comfortable, and she never seemed worried or afraid. The transformation has been incredible. We didn’t realize how much of her vision she had lost over the years until after the surgery.
