Highly recommend Germantown Vision Care Center! I brought my daughter in for an eye exam and was so impressed by how welcoming and informative the staff were. I wasn’t sure what the appointment would entail, but they sat down with us, took their time, and explained every step of the process. They were so great with my daughter and made the whole experience stress-free. We will definitely be back!

I’ve been wearing contact lenses for years and didn’t need a new fitting, yet I was charged a fee just to update my prescription in their system — something that should take a staff member a couple of minutes. I was told this fee was required before I could get a valid prescription to order contacts, and that insurance wouldn’t cover it. It felt like being charged for a button click. On top of that, wait times were consistently long, and the frame selection skews expensive with little available that’s affordable after insurance. I’ve since switched practices and had a much smoother, more transparent experience elsewhere.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with Germantown Vision Care Center was extremely disappointing. I told my coworkorkes not to go here anymore. When ordering my new glasses, I clearly stated that I wanted the exact same specifications as my previous pair and that I did not want to go over my $100 budget. Despite being very clear, I was initially presented with an additional $170 in charges. Thankfully, I carefully reviewed the bill before paying. That experience immediately made me question whether I was being properly advised or simply being sold unnecessary upgrades. The bigger issue came when I picked up my glasses. The very next day, I realized they did not have Transition lenses, even though the staff member had reviewed my order with me twice and assured me that everything I had paid for, along with everything covered by my insurance—including Transition lenses—would be included. Correcting their mistake took almost three weeks, even though I was told it would take about two. This resulted in multiple unnecessary trips to the clinic and a much longer wait than promised. While they eventually corrected the missing Transition lenses, the experience left me with little confidence that every other feature covered by my insurance or included in my order was actually applied. Transition lenses were easy to verify, but other lens features are not. Because of that, I'm left wondering if everything I paid for was truly provided. Mistakes can happen, but what disappointed me most was the combination of inaccurate billing, an incorrect order, delays beyond the promised timeframe, and the loss of trust that followed. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this clinic based on my experience.

I had a great experience at my eye doctor's office. The office staff were pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. The doctor took the time to thoroughly examine my eyes and clearly explained everything I needed to know. I felt well cared for throughout my visit and appreciated the attention to detail. I highly recommend this practice to anyone seeking excellent eye care.

Dr Schermer is knowledgeable, patient and takes time to listen and address every concern. Always feel heard and never rushed. His staff is kind, efficient, and consistently welcoming. They are top notch professionals.
