They are very disorganized. The doctor is fine, it's dealing with everyone else that's been frustrating. * They tried to double the price they quoted for a extra eye test after I had it done. * I gave them my insurance info and one week later, they wanted me to text them a copy of my card just because. * I was given the option for progressive lenses for driving, then two weeks later got a phone call saying the lab does not cover it regarding my insurance and had do bifocals which required me to come back in for measurements. * It took 7 weeks for me to get the glasses, and they are wrong. * They wouldn't correct the glasses or even switch to the single lense prescription they already had until I had another exam. * After I got the new prescription written out from the doctor, she gave it to the front desk person and he was aggressive trying to justify why the glasses were correct in the first place. * Now I have to wait another 2 - 3 weeks before these new glasses are ready. I do not recommend using this place. The staff does not take accountability and will insist they are right even when there clearly is an issue. Plus, it takes forever to get your glasses.

Kim is Very professional, very enthusiastic, very patient explanation, I will recommend my family and friends to come to her for glasses. This store is also very clean and bright. There are also many choices of glasses, which gives me a good shopping experience.
I had an excellent experience with the doctor at Golden Vision Optometry she was amazing, professional, and kind. Unfortunately, my experience with the optician was the complete opposite. When I was choosing glasses, he was literally yelling at me, and every time I asked a question, he responded aggressively. As someone who speaks Mandarin fluently, I understand that his English may not be perfect, and I would never judge someone for that. But poor language skills are never an excuse for poor behavior or disrespect. I also genuinely believe the way he treated me was racially motivated, because I noticed he did not treat other clients the same way. If you’re a person of color, I honestly would not feel comfortable recommending buying glasses from him. He was an older man with glasses and broken English, but the real issue was his attitude and the way he poorly treated me.
I visited Golden Vision Optometry in April and had a highly concerning experience. I strongly advise people to avoid this clinic, as the entire operation felt unqualified and shady. During my exam, Dr. Pearl Shih, OD alarmed me by suggesting I might have glaucoma and pushed for further testing. This left me incredibly nervous and confused, especially since I get regular eye exams and have absolutely no family history of this serious condition. To make matters worse, Dr. Shih wrote me a new prescription for glasses. When I asked for my physical prescription, the older gentleman assisting me seemed a bit put off that I was taking it to buy glasses elsewhere rather than purchasing them directly from the clinic. I purchased a new pair elsewhere using their prescription, but upon receiving them, I couldn't see clearly far away or up close. The prescription was completely wrong, and I was forced to fall back on my old glasses. Because of these red flags, I canceled my follow-up appointment at Golden Vision and booked an appointment with a medical ophthalmologist instead. My new ophthalmologist requested the exam results from Golden Vision to review the glaucoma claim. However, when I contacted the clinic, that exact same gentleman flat-out refused to provide my medical records to me. Thankfully, the new exam results with my ophthalmologist confirmed that I do not have glaucoma. Between the grossly incorrect prescription, the unnecessary alarm over an incorrect diagnosis, the unprofessional demeanor regarding my glasses purchase, and the refusal to release my medical records to another doctor, my trust in this practice is zero. Save yourself the stress, money, and risk to your eye health—go somewhere else.
I just had my annual check and ordered a pair of new glasses. Dr. Shih is very professional, checked my eye conditions, making sure they are healthy and helping me with a suitable prescription to avoid eye strain and headache. Kim is very helpful with my insurance coverage and offered me with affordable and good quality glasses and lenses.
