I would like to take a moment to share my experience with your office. I have consistently received excellent care from all of the optometrists, and I truly appreciate the professionalism and quality of service provided. Although the wait time during my recent visit was longer than usual, I understand that this was due to having only one optometrist available, and I appreciate the team’s efforts to accommodate all patients as efficiently as possible. I would especially like to recognize Dr. Alambar for being consistently helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. Their dedication to patient care does not go unnoticed. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service and the friendliness of the staff. Thank you all for your continued commitment to providing excellent care.

Today I thought I was seeing Dr. Hogan. I saw Dr. Efrem. He said he needed to move my contact and proceeded to pull my eyelid down and I felt his finger in my eye. He was not wearing gloves. I told him what do you need me to do. He explained so I told him let me move my contact. I moved it. He said he needed to move it again and did the same thing. I have been to the eye doctor for 30 years, and have never felt so uncomfortable.

Really like this place. I go here yearly after my insurance changed a couple years back. The drs are a little eccentric but that doesn’t mean they’re wrong. They’re just really good at what they do.

My wife and I both had a great experience with Dr. Hogan and the front of house staff. This was our first time at this place, and we felt that the prescriptions provided were accurate and done with care. I’d go so far as to say that the prescriptions were the best we had ever received, and Dr. Hogan corrected previous incorrect prescriptions. Dr. Hogan was very knowledgeable and you could tell he had a great amount of experience when he spoke. We really appreciated that at the end of the appointment they provide a prescription to do with as you please instead of pushing glasses sales (they do not sell glasses). One of the women at the front said that she had been working at Dr. Hogans office for most of the 30 years he had been practicing, which is a statement to the type of person he is. This is by far the best experience we’ve had with an eye doctor in Lubbock and I would recommend to Dr. Hogan to anyone!

I truly debated on sharing this, but want to help sway someone from coming in and wasting time and money. Like other experiences, Dr Alambar “diagnosed” me with hypoglycemia based off of something he saw in my eyes. When I told him I have already had testing, he continued to tell me all other doctors and the actual blood work I’ve had is incorrect. & that I should just keep coming to him every year to check in on it. According to him, he is the only doctor capable of diagnosing someone with hypoglycemia from seeing in their eyes. He continued to write me the craziest prescription. I will be going to another eye doctor since the prescription is so off that my insurance won’t cover it, I didn’t even know that could happen before my experience. Save your time, money, and the anxiety of being “diagnosed” with hypoglycemia from an unprofessional doctor.
