They accept Medicaid and offer a free pair of glasses. Generally very friendly nurses and doctors. For the sole exception of Dr. Pisetzner of course. He was very impatient while I was attempting to read the chart and rushed my exam! Also you cannot call after 3:00 because they haven't updated their calling system as of March 25th 2026. Still says 'closed early due to bad weather' even though it's sunny out!! Its been eleven days pleaee rix this!!!!

Do you enjoy being condescended to? If so Dr. Pisetzner is perfect for you. He told me to not wear my contacts for a week and then come back and see him. I wore my glasses for 7 days, and the morning of our follow up I put my contacts back in to see if his advice fixed the issue because I figured he'd want to know. I went to my appointment and he began scolding me like a problem child who blatantly disregarded his directions. Apparently when he said "don't wear for a week" he meant "don't wear them until I see you again." He dismissed my concerns (his advice still didn't work mind you) and sent me packing fast like there was no point in speaking with me further. Avoid!
Excellent place for eye care managed. They quickly assess problems and have specialists inhouse to treat the problems. Surgeons here did my cataract surgeries and my 450/20 eyesight went to 20/20. I trust these folks.
I am so livid right now my grandson was born with a condition called morning glory, at birth Dr Denise Chamblee had no clue what was going on with his eye so my daughter took him to Penn State in Pennsylvania and they told her it was a very mild case and Said he might not ever show any signs that he has it, to bring him back in a year for a recheck. He had his appointment today, the Dr walks into the room, sits down and starts talking to her recorder, she states that my grandson is legally blind to a recorder before turning around and dropping that news to my daughter, she states nothing in his eye has changed but statistically Morning Glory can cause blindness, WHAT, he shows no signs of vision loss, she didn’t even test him. I’m appalled she would treat a young family like this. We will be going back to Penn State.
Everyone at this clinic was super nice, but they weren’t upfront about not being able to do contact lens prescriptions. If you’re a contact wearer, don’t waste your time and book with another clinic, especially if you’re going to wait 6+ months for an appointment.
