I came in for an eye exam, waited for 30 mins and I specifically asked if they're going to dilate my eyes like how I usually got my eye exam before I moved here and they said yes even though they didn't dilate my eyes. It was a weird experience with Dr. Nguyen, she asked me simple questions about my glasses and then she asked me if I have my old prescription with me so I gave it to her which now I think was odd because no one ever asked for my old prescription before. So she basically just gave me my old prescription like she copied and paste it. Even though I told her that there was a change in my eyesight because that's why I wanted to get my eyes checked in the first place. That didn't bother her and she said that my old prescription was still valid because it was less than 2 years ago. My concerns was not met. This eye exam was 4 months ago. I paid $198 out of pocket bc I don't have vision insurance. I will never come back here for an eye exam ever again. I didn't get my eyes checked properly and I hated my myself for not speaking up when this happened. Please consider the reviews and think about before making an appointment.

I recently had an eye exam and was given the wrong eye prescription. Instead of the office fixing what they did wrong, they wanted to charge me for another eye exam. This office and doctors do not listen to their patients. Upon my eye exam I explained the need for reading and computer glasses as I am a professional IT person by trade. This was my first experience where my prescription did not fit my needs. I understand mistakes happen but to charge for another exam to fix your mistake is not professional. The staff at this office lacks customer service and is very argumentative. There were signs I didn't heed to while I waited for the doctor. Other patients venting their frustration to office staff and doctor running in and out of the room during my exam. Perhaps had she focus on me, the patient then my prescription would have fit my needs. This was my first and last visit. Thank you for the response. It is sad that your response only came after posting online. I called your office for a week straight to only be given misinformation, hostile attitude and never a call back. I've worn glasses for over 15 years. I have never had a prescription filled that was wrong by any Optometrists. I understand that mistakes happen and all I asked for was a fix by your company. Due to your staff's response and misinformation, I've already visited another Optometrists who provided me with a correct prescription. My money and business will stay with your competitor.
The doctor was good. I felt like I had a good exam. The rest is awful. Took all day for 2 appointments early in the morning. They triple book. Wanted to charge $200 or so to have my records sent to my GP. Couldn't give digital copies of eye scans, even to my GP. Got glasses in November ish of 2024. Again, I need new lenses as there is a stress fracture (2nd time) in the same spot as before. Basic glasses were $500. They claim medical does not pay for anything if you have tinting or anti glare added. I expected to pay for the extras, but Medical should pay for the basic. They have at other places. They do not return phone messages. It's been an awful experience and I'm out $500 for glasses that keep breaking.
0/10, do not recommend. I've been going for Dr. White for years and loved him. However, my last appointment a little over a year ago was with Dr. Nguyen and it was a terrible experience. I knew I needed my prescription adjusted, because I wasn't seeing as well with my current lenses, especially with nighttime driving, and I was getting eye strain headaches with reading and close work. I arrived on time and waited over an hour before being seen. The office staff performed the corneal topography scan and glaucoma test, and then once I was in the exam room, the doctor came in, glanced at my chart, asked me a couple of questions and then wrote me a new prescription. She did NOT do a visual acuity or visual refraction exam before determining what prescription I needed, just said that deterioration of close vision was normal for my age and that I would need to weaken my distance vision correction to compensate. She probably spent a total of 10 minutes in the room with me. *Without* explaining what it was or asking if I was interested in trying it, she decided to have me try monovision, by keeping one contact lens the same and drastically weakening the correction in the other lens. It made things much worse. I made a follow-up appointment and complained that this prescription wasn't working for me, that I felt unsafe on the road in broad daylight now due to blurry vision, and that I felt the "exam" which wasn't even a real exam was rushed. She doubled down on her rationale and stated that she didn't need to perform a visual refraction exam to know what I needed. She also had written me an Rx for a pair of progressive lenses, which I spent about $300 on and ended up hating because they were the wrong prescription, fit very poorly, and I was given no instruction about wearing on a gradual schedule in order to get used to them. So for the past year, I've been using my old contact lens Rx and a pair of drugstore readers, and I've been hesitant to schedule another exam because of the negative experience I had last time. My eye strain headaches finally got so bad that I made an appointment with Kings Eye Center, where the doctor performed a very thorough visual refraction exam and determined that I in fact needed much STRONGER distance vision correction (in his words, "You haven't had the right prescription for a LONG time"), recommended slightly stronger reading glasses and got me set up with a pair of progressive glasses that fit well. Using a pair of trial contacts, my vision is back to normal now, no more headaches and no more anxiety about driving at night. Save yourself the headache; go to Kings Eye Center instead. I'll never come back here.
We love Dr White and his staff. Our whole family sees him. I have a three year old daughter who has needed glasses since she was two. He is so sweet and patient with her. The nicest man you will ever meet. I highly recommend this place!
