I love Dr Gonzales. He remembers me and all my family members and asks about them every year at my exam. I have been very happy with their services.

The Doctor is great! The staff and their new way of doing business is horrible. Use to be when your glasses came in you could pick them up and have them fitted. Now, you have to make an appointment. Also now, you have to ring a doorbell and wait for them to hand you your glasses outside and be on your way. Customer service seems to have left with the original owners who were incredible!! Sad thing is some of the old staff is still there and think their customers money and time are less important then their own.

I called the other day at 5 pm, to confirm my appt for the next day at 5 pm, the lady sounded shocked, and she said yes, 5 pm tomorrow. Something still didnt seem right, and sure enough, 0830 next day shes telling me i should see Dr Chen at Vantage due to lightening bolts I been having, and they dont accept my insurance, which I knew, since my last visit 3 months ago I paid out of pocket. But i also bought individual VSP insurance the day after last visit and spoke to her on phone and emailed a copy. I figure she was kissing me off and told her to just cancel the appt. Then she was so over helpful, texting Dr Chens ph number, then address. Im assuming she didnt want to stay so late or doc out of town and my appt was over looked since she never confirmed it. Sadly, Im screwed, now I don't have a doctor to see, and why would i book an appt 3 months ago only to have in canceled on the day of my appt…totally worthless

The whole place has a chill relaxed and friendly vibe. The entire staff is present and competent.

I live in Arizona but I was traveling through Monterey and I ripped one of my contacts. Hattori not only got my prescription, they had contacts in stock for me which is a kind of odd prescription with astigmatism and have them ready for me quickly and didn’t even charge me.
