I can’t say enough good things. Dr. Gilmore has helped me see the best I’ve ever seen and is so knowledgeable. She has helped correct my astigmatism with my lenses and has outstanding and unbeatable bedside manner/customer service. I would recommend her to everyone. Every staff member I interact with is just as outstanding and helpful. I feel like I’m around friends when I’m there. They have a good selection of frames and accessories as well.

Friendly, exemplary customer service from all the staff at Hersey. Dr. Chin was able to dial in my husband's glasses prescription and he can see again! He got new glasses and even took them back once right before we moved to Maine last month but he still wasn't able to see well. Since getting Dr. Chin's prescription glasses, he has been able see all things big and small. Thank you so much for improving his quality of life Dr. Chin!!

I can't even express how grateful I am for Hersey Eye Care - I think I smiled my whole way home! After having a less than ideal experience with another local optical company, my visit with Dr. Gilmore was so REFRESHING! She listened to me, addressed all of my concerns, was SO efficient and helped me understand WHY I was experiencing some of my symptoms. I’ve been seeing Dr. Hersey and Dr. Gilmore for years when they were located in the Bangor Mall location. They are absolutely the best and I highly recommend. The only reason for the 4 star review is with the Hermon office staff when I called. It’s very difficult to get through to a person and if you leave a message, it’s typically a case of phone tag but they do call you back. It’s not convenient, but I understand providers are extremely busy right now. Additionally, they’re a busy location because the docs are great, but appointments are far out. I would have gladly been on a cancellation list, had they had one. The office person I spoke with didn’t seem to care about my issue. Because I need to get in as soon as possible, unfortunately I’ve had to switch providers. Overall, I would recommend them, but wish there were some improvements for accessibility and scheduling.
