Holzer Athens (Holzer Health System)

I always have such a great experience here. Amy at the front desk is seriously the sweetest and so helpful every single time I come in. She makes the whole process so much easier, especially when you are not feeling your best. I also had Bobbi as my doctor, and she is just as amazing, so caring, kind, and really takes the time to listen. I truly have nothing but good things to say about this place, which is why I keep coming back whenever I am feeling under the weather. Highly recommend!

Please invest in your urgent care department capacity to provide quality and affordable urgent care rather than consistently sending patients to ER. It would have been nice for a nurse (rather than front desk admin) to actually triage before sending us away.

Wouldn’t recommend going. We called in advance to check and see if they could care for my 1 year old son that had a cut in his head from a mirror that broke on top of him. They told us they would triage him, and have the nurse access him. When we arrived there the turned us away without even having the nurse come out and look at him. Shameful

They don't listen, they refused to help, they told me to instead go to an emergency room for a urinary tract infection. Going to an ER for a UTI would be a waste of time and resources. An ER is busy saving lives and shouldn't be burdened with taking up the slack for Holzer's lazy staff. Plus, who needs to be driving around town from place to place while you're sick? Seems like they could care less about their patients. Go anywhere else, you will get better care there.

Staff is always friendly and the Dr is always nice. Everytime I go there they always listen to what I got to say and I have never waited a long time before they got me in a room and I have never been in a room a long time before the Dr comes in .. everyone has the words on how they feel about it all but . I ant never had anything bad to say about holzers always friendly .
