Unbelievable! 2:40 appointment, out at 4:40 after a total of less than 15 minutes of examination! When I mentioned I thought I had fallen off the list, the response was, oh, no, you are Dr. Chu’s last patient of the day! OK, that indicates the norm and a very basic problem! When I asked for a paper copy of the prescription, suddenly, I was charged for the exam despite the surgery and exam being covered by my Medicare Advantage! There are plenty of area optimists; I will find if this is the norm elsewhere!

When I walked in the door everything felt calm and soothing. The office staff greeted me and was offering to help with whatever I needed. I asked the young lady to adjust my glasses and she yes ma’am I’ll meet you at that desk. She came around and met me there and we talked about the weather and before I knew anything she had them just right. I love my doctor ever since I met him the first time. He’s gracious, kind and straightforward with me about my vision. He offer other suggestions but I asked him do you really think that if I did that would help. We discussed it in detail and we came up with a game plan that I’m comfortable with. I like when my doctor is honest with me and I love Dr. Villarreal and I’m going to tell all family and friends about him. Thank you Houston Eye Associates you get a 10+ 😃

Love Houston Eye Associates and Dr Wilson. He helped my husband just like he helped me a couple of years ago. Always nice and very informative. Staff is great too!!

I had scheduled a LASIK consult with Dr. Gupta 3 days prior to my appt. On the morning of my appt, the office called me asking for medical insurance as he's an ophthalmologist. I said fine and provided the information, although I stated I'd be paying out of pocket. The lady then put me on hold, eventually coming back to tell me Dr. Gupta can do the LASIK evaluation today, however he needs to get certified on the LASIK equipment and that will take "some time". Houston Eye Associates website advertises the following "Dr. Gupta specializes in advanced procedures including LASIK, PRK, EVO ICL, corneal transplants, and state-of-the-art cataract surgery with premium lens options." Even the lady on the phone agreed that's not okay that they're selling a doctor that isn't even certified on their equipment. Stay away from Houston Eye Associates!

Dr. Wilson and his staff were very helpful and congenial. I appreciated Dr. Wilson’s honesty, knowledge, and willingness to help and talk to me about my eyes.
