It was very delightful from the time I walked in to the minute I left. The front desk was very welcoming & the wait to be called back was very quick. I was explained everything to me they would be doing to my eyes. Dr Sonia is amazing!

I have been going to Houston Eye Asso. since I was a kid, and I had an appointment 5/1/26 for a visit and to update my glasses and contacts. My regular doctor wasn’t there, the whole crew except one person that was still there that I know, which was the lady who did glasses. I had trail contacts that took more than a month to come in. 6/9/26 is when I came back to the office and I told them there were uncomfortable for my left eye, which is the weaker eye because every time I blink it scratches my eye a little. When I tried to put solution in my eye I realized I didn’t have a case nor solution. Good thing I had some of my own. I told them all of this and the response was there isn’t nothing they can do, but you can take the contacts out if they are uncomfortable and just wear your glasses. Wow, why haven’t I thought of that. The whole point of contact trails is to find contacts to fit you. When I ask for alternative there’s nothing they can do we already changed the brand to the highest, and I can’t go back to the original brand due to my progress had advanced. I know that because I have been using my stronger eye prescription from my previous doctor to help my eye. Also, my mom had to get cataract surgery, but the dates were right after another with mine. It took us literally from 5/1/26 to 6/9/26. We canceled our future dates for 6/15/26, 6/16/26, 7/8/26, 7/9/26, 7/22/26, 7/23/26. That’s almost our whole summer schedule. We had to change a lot of dates around to make it work. We realized it’s best to cancel because it’s too much. Soon as I cancel, now they can change the brand to my liking and fitting. Update: 6/19/26 My glasses BROKE. I had never had broken glasses. I still have all my old glasses from middle school on up. It didn’t break in the middle, but to the on the left when my left eye lenses FELL OFF the glasses. Good thing the glass fell into my glasses pouch! I don’t know how that happened? I’m not even rough with glasses, not I should be, but $799 out of pocket. I just got my glasses for a month!!!
Due to an insurance change, I had to find a new opthalmologist after over 15 years with my old provide. Today was my first visit. I received excellent services from Dr. Alex and the staff. I highly recommend this location.
Some of my site was restored. That in itself is a heaven of a blessing and an experience. I always like to thank the staff for being so kind and always professional and welcoming. And Dr. Shen There are no words that really can describe his care. His bedside manners, his smile even if you were not feeling great he is there for you and most of all truthful. Thank y’all.
Everyone at the Houston Eye Associates are very patient conscious. They have your best interest at heart, The obstatricians, nurses as well as the nice ladies at the front desks. They give professional support and service.
