Dr. Scott is wonderful and Stephanie made sure I was comfortable and wasn’t in any pain from all the drops that were administered. Dr. Scott is actually getting a second opinion to ensure that his treatment plan is the best one for me! Both were very kind and caring.

My husband is a glaucoma patient and has received top notch care for the last four years! The staff is always super nice and the Doctor is very experienced,, up-to-date on current technology, and very easy to talk to! The check-in process is quick and easy and the longest we have ever waited to be seen is 30 minutes. Most of the time they are very punctual.
Very positive experience with IL Eye Center. Always friendly, office hours that are accommodating and the walk-in center is an asset for their business. I am happy to be a patient here. If anything is negative, it would be you may need to wait past your appointment time to be seen. That being said, they care about their patients, and they take the time with you.
I have had nothing but poor service here. When I started going here about a year and half ago, it took 3-4 visits with 2 different ophthalmologists to try to figure out what was going on with my vision; it was getting harder to read on my pc’s at work. So many tests and they first said I need cataract surgery and even scheduled me, but then said no I don’t and it’s dry eyes; that’s quite a difference of opinion. I told myself I wasn’t going to go back and, well, I did (July 2026). The first doctor I saw was in and out, did not do any of the neurological tests for my multiple sclerosis like I asked for when I made my appointment, said I had dry eyes, gave a new prescription for my glasses for work, and was in and out of the room so quickly and did not recommend cataract surgery. When I went to pick the glasses up, I was seeing double. I was told I had to make an appointment to come back for a re-check. I asked to see someone else because of the poor experience I had: I was told by one of the scheduling ladies that my next visit would be a completely different experience. I went back for my appointment and yes, it sure was a different experience. The ophthalmologist was extremely rude. When he was asking me to read a lines of letters, if I wasn’t quick enough, he started naming the letter out loud. Then when he was asking me to read A or B which is better when checking each eye, I was trying to explain to him what I was seeing, but he would not hear of it. Then, when I told him I was seeing double, a faint like or letters under the actual line of letters, he actually got mad at me and said “stop calling it double vision”. Seriously??? I went on my patient portal and looked to see what he put in my records for Dx and it said Monocular Diplopia…I looked this up and it is also called a form of DOUBLE VISION…surprise surprise. I was told I had to make ANOTHER appointment to go back and get tested once again, because I have diabetes. Oh, by the way, at my first visit, I was told that the diabetes has not affected my eyes. I decided to call to speak to the patient access individual to put in a complaint. I called twice in the same day and when I was told she was not available, I asked for a supervisor. Well, guess who got on the phone; the person I was looking for. She was very rude to me, I asked for a refund for the glasses and she told me that was fine but they were not reimbursing my insurance company and I had used my vision benefits. I had to let her know I would contact my insurance company for fraud and then suddenly I was told they would reimburse the insurance. I would not at all recommend this place to anyone. I have been wearing glass for 49 years and have never had to go back so many times and have not been given repeated different opinions from ophthalmologists or optometrists.
I had an excellent experience at Illinois Eye Center in Peoria. Mary Beth in scheduling for my up coming surgery was nothing short of amazing. She is very detailed and explains everything well and has your paperwork is set up and easy to follow.
