I’ve been coming to this clinic for about a year and I’ve had great experiences with the providers and staff upstairs. Unfortunately I had my first rude and disrespectful encounter by the front main entrance desk receptionist named Marilyn Reyes. A patient coordinator called me around 2:15pm to schedule a follow-up appointment for my son for tomorrow, I had some paperwork that the doctor needed before the appointment and I asked if I could drop it off between 5-6 this evening. I was told that it was perfectly fine because they close at 8 today. When I got to the clinic around 5:50, the doors were closed and I just assumed it was because it’s so dark out. Marlyn answered the door and coldly asked “can I help you?” I explained to her I was told to head up and leave paperwork with the front desk. She rudely responded “we close at 6 today… it’s TUESDAY”. I was taken aback by her tone but gave her some grace as she may have just been tired. I apologized as I was clearly given misinformation, to which I’m sure was an honest mistake. Marilyn proceeded to speak to me in a condescending tone, and said “well there is no one is upstairs, everyone left so you guys need to leave”. I responded that there was no need for her to be rude to me and my child just because of an honest mistake, she gave me a snarky look and said “SORRY” and she shut the door. This whole encounter was completely uncomfortable, unnecessary but above all very unprofessional. I really like IWS but I really hope they take this matter serious because no one deserves to be treated harshly, especially over honest mistakes.

This was the most amazing place regarding healthcare I’ve been to in my 40 years. From the receptionist to the nurse, to the doctor, to billing - you will not find a kinder, more empathetic, patient, talented medical building anywhere else in Chicago. I had to get stitches, I was a little nervous, lol- but the kindness and thoroughness of the team, literally made me cry. If I can help it, I’ll never go to another medical facility in my life. I’m amazed about their assortment of offerings as well. Please - do yourself and your family a favor and go here. I’m so grateful an amazing friend recommended them to me.
Please be aware this clinic violates the rights of patients and parents and if you don’t read the documentation in detail they will do what they want with out respecting the patients or the parents under age patients request. You cannot trust the medical staff in this clinic. I took my 11 yearl old daughter for a school physical in 6/23. First of all the doctor who saw her was upset that she couldn’t vaccinate my daughter because she is allergic to latex and she grilled me on what her reactions were. I told her she has the records and it did not come from me but from Laurie’s Hospital because she had been admitted because of the side effects. At that time she also offered the HPV which I declined and I signed a form saying I declined the vaccine along with the Influenza. I trusted the doctor and the staff in this clinic. Today that I asked for a copy of the vaccination records bc of school transfer. On her record it shows she was administered the Influenza and HPV without my consent on that day. The laws are clear in Illinois children need to be 12 for no consent required from parents my daughter was 11. Why? if they swear under oath to care for patients and their health are they violating our rights ? I as a parent and patient have a right to decide what I put in my body or in my child’s body. We are not laboratory rats. They have violated me and my daughters rights and her body and that is extremely lack of ethics and professionalism. It’s straight forward abuse of power and authority. It’s oppressing and discriminating because we are Latinos. I don’t recommend this clinic go somewhere were staff actually respects patients rights. I will be filling a complaint to the state. This is malpractice & it needs to stop.
am truly surprised by the overwhelming number of negative reviews this clinic has received. Until now, I never thought to write a review, whether good or bad. However, after being a client for 13 years, I recently decided to switch to another clinic that provides the care my children and I genuinely need. The clinic lost its gem when Dr. James Pecard left; since then, the quality of service has significantly declined. I had an appointment with a Puerto Rican doctor named Emeline, and my experience was quite disappointing. I then tried Dr. Carlos Sian (or a similar name), and he was the final push I needed to make the decision to change clinics. The treatment I received felt incredibly dismissive, as if I were asking them to transfer the title of their house to me. It was truly unacceptable. Save your time and avoid this place. As the saying goes, "the worst enemy of a Latino is another Latino," and unfortunately, this rings true here. Dr. James Pecard was exceptional, and I sincerely hope to find him again, even if it means traveling across the country to do so
My family has been coming to this clinic for a very long time. And there is always great service. The workers are kind and always help when there is an issue. It's a very family-friendly place which is useful so everyone can go there. Just in general a great doctors and nurses and every employee to be honest!
