I’ve been going to Smyrna eye clinic for 13 years! While I’ve always appreciated their doctors and clinical staff, the front desk team is definitely not delivering any with warm fuzzies. I was late for the 1st time ever. Live on the other side of the ballpark and a day game ended shortly before my commute. I left early, used Waze and allowed for more time, but my usual 20 min trip took me 45 mins thanks to Braves traffic and accidents along the way. I called on the way (no answer and left a vmail). When I had finally made it to the intersection of s. Cobb and Cumberland I called again and was told she wasn’t sure they’d see me. At this time I was 5 mins late and I told her I was so close I could walk there faster. Ended up being 10 mins late and was told I’d have to reschedule. After pushing back, the manager agreed to see if another provider would see me who was available. Great! I was 100% ready to leave and never come back. I appreciate they want to keep appointments on time, but maybe not be such a $ grab that you have zero time between appointments. It’s Atlanta!! People are going to get stuck in traffic. I moved to east cobb years ago and have kept coming back to Smyrna Eye group for the last 6 years. While I appreciate the manager ultimately working me in, this staunch cold black and white policy leaves me wanting to look elsewhere. Apparently you’re one time to the minute or risk being canceled .

I did not have a good experience at Smyrna Eye Group (Infocus). I had to reschedule my original appointment because my appointment was at 3 pm, there wasn't enough time to complete the test that I needed. When I returned for my appointment they repeated a test that I had previously instead of the test I was scheduled for. I was charged for the repeat test and then told to schedule another appointment for the correct test. I don't appreciate having my time and money wasted because of a mistake that someone else made. However, doctor Bowser was great as always.

I have never had a more difficult time getting speak to a live person than I have with this office. The automated call system doesn’t allow for you to speak directly with a live person. Every extension drops to a mailbox no matter what time of day 8am, late morning, early afternoon. I got a call back but wasn’t able to take the call right and away and having to go back through the inefficient phone system to try to return a call is not ok. I needed to see an ophthalmologist for medical attention and initially picked this office because it was closest to my home, they took both my medical and vision insurances, and the reviews. If you need medical attention for eye concerns and not just eye exams for glasses or contacts try someone else that actually allows you to talk to a real person the first time you call.

Dr. Bowser and the entire staff are always so nice. I’ve always had my appointments run on time, and always feel that everyone actually cares about me. I highly recommend Smyrna Eye Group.
