Arrived at my appointment as scheduled, to be told that they now have a new policy in place. Everyone aged 10 and older are required to have a retinal scan of their eyes done every year. This scan is $39 and very few insurances cover it. Mandatory! There is no choice to opt out. No alternative like having eyes diluted, and no prior notice to patients. I refused to pay. They said they would still do it and offer a "one time fee waiver" but next year it will be required. Heads up, if you plan to go here, make sure you bring money for this scan. Apparently we're the ones having to pay for their fancy new machine. I would understand if there was a concern for your eyes or some underlying issues, but for everyone- with healthy eyes starting at age 10? I've been a patient here for almost 20 years and I'm ready to leave and bring my kiddos and our business elsewhere. Beware!

This place had staff who made me feel like my eyes were their main concern. Dr. Pinet was as thoughtful as I hoped and made sure I got the perfect prescription I needed and that no diseases were present. Most impressive was the front desk staff, especially Greg, whose thoughtful input over the phone helped me look forward to my visit, and his colleagues Alexis, Misty, and Amenda, who also listened carefully to my concerns. I purchased a pair of glasses from them and was told the total cost before I purchased a beautiful but also one of the most expensive pairs of glasses I have ever owned.
Everyone is very nice and very helpful; I've always felt pampered when I've gone there. Dr. Mitchell was wonderful & just retired, but his new replacement ophthalmologist is very nice & informative.
The tech doing the pre exam was very good and friendly. Dr. Kesti is very good at explaining things during the exam. The tech that helped me with readjusting my glasses and replacing nose pads did a great job. All in all I was very impressed and sastisfied with my visit today!
My sons are on the Autism Spectrum so you can imagine how stressful eye exams can be for not just them, but also for the staff and myself. All members of this staff are SO patient. Dr. Pinet is a new Dr. In that clinic and I'm so glad he's there. He and Dr. Kesti always make me feel confident that my boys are being cared for and not being judged.
