Irwin Eye Care truly goes above and beyond, from the little things to emergency visits. They are great with scheduling, even in emergencies. Dr. Hanley takes time to explain everything, and the staff is exceptional. Even my husband, who usually avoids going to the doctor, happily goes here! Highly recommended!
I am a contact lens wearer. I do not take out my contacts or change them as much as I should. I was upfront and honest about this. The doctor could not have been more rude and unprofessional. She was demeaning and cold. Started our visit off on "We are going to start off on the wrong foot." A better approach would have maybe been saying "Hello my name is Dr. Hanley". She came in told my 4 year old child to "go sit on a chair". Then condesendingly told me what contact lens wearers "know". "Contact lens wearers know they need their eyes examined every year". "Contact lens wearers know to change 30 day contacts every 30 days". "Contact lens wearers know to take the contacts out at night". I could go on but that is the gist. I have never met this lady. You think for one minute I was going to have an open mind and heed anything she said after being so condescending? She knew she did it but could not control her unprofessionalism by continually saying "let's start over". I said I was uncomfortable and walked out. Never would step foot in that office or recommend to anyone. The other staff was lovely, kind and professional. For the doctor, horrendous. I wish I could give negative stars.

Very rude and unprofessional. Kristi was also very rude to my insurance carrier as well. Insurance carrier was actually shocked at how rude she was and actually recommended I go to a different provider.
The staff at Irwin Eye Care is amazing! I lost my eyeglasses and walked in without an appointment at a place that even makes appointments to pick up your eyeglasses! The waiting area was full, but they made time for me. I was shown only the frames covered by my insurance and not pushed to get the more expensive ones. I have been wearing eyeglasses for over 50 years, and have gone to many optometrists, but all except Irwin Eye Care have tried to make me buy more expensive frames. I highly recommend them.
