Jack Raby Optical

My wife and I have shopped at Jack Raby Optical for at least 18 years. Donna is incredible at getting us the glasses we need. The service afterwords is great. 2 other ladies are also there to help. I have had lens replaced while under warranty by the other employees. The turn around is quick. I suggest trying Jack Raby Optical . They are more than fair on being a local down home business on prices.

As promised to the technician of leaving an honest review. On a Friday afternoon my daughter came home and handed me her glasses with a lens barely hanging in the frame. I call about 30 minutes before closing time and thankfully she says come on in and let’s see what we can do. We get there with an exact match from a previous prescription to trade out lenses and a couple minutes in the back room she has the glasses fixed. What a life saver for us and highly recommend them for repairs.

I would not recommend this optical shop. They took my prescription and my payment for my eyeglasses, but after almost a month, I still didn't have my glasses. What made the experience even worse was the complete lack of communication. They never keep me updated—I had to ask them every time to find out what was going on. First, I was told my prescription lenses wouldn't fit the frames I selected. They sent everything to the lab, but later said the lab couldn't make them either. Then they asked me to choose different frames. I didn't like any of the options they offered, so I asked for my prescription and a refund so I could take my business elsewhere. Instead of processing my refund, they told me the lab had sent back the frames with new lenses and assured me they could finish my glasses once the frames arrived. I decided to give them one more chance. After the frames came back, they told me they were working on my glasses and would let me know when they were ready. The very next day, they called again and said the lenses still didn't fit and they had to reorder them. Then they told me that if I didn't want to wait any longer, I could come in for a refund. After nearly a month, several trips to the store, wasted time, and wasted gas, I was left with no glasses and no clear answers. This experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and handled very poorly. Better communication and honesty could have prevented a lot of unnecessary inconvenience. I expected much better customer service. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this business.

After trying to find the perfect frames at many other locations, I learned the hard way that I should’ve started with Jack Raby! When I stopped into the store, Erin was such a delight and she helped me pick out the perfect frames. She answered all my questions about the different options my lens prescription requires, and really took the time to make sure I was happy with my choices. I’ll definitely be going to Jack Raby for my future eyeglass needs.

I can't speak highly enough of Jack Raby's optical. Especially Ms Erin, she came out to my car to assist my 85 yr old mother with her glasses for an adjustment. That is customer service and genuine caring of others. Thank you again, Tony and Betty King
