Terrifyingly bad experience with the front of the house staff. First off when I went there with a brand new prescription from Kaiser, the lady berated me about not using their Rx service. I didn't realize I had to explain to you why I choose to go to my doctor which is covered by my insurance rather than you. Then after choosing frames and sitting there arguing with you about how I am left eye dominant and I know I am, you cannot take measurements which reflect this fact. We go back and forth I mentioned I will be out of town, and need you to call me to let me know to come back, I get a unclear text instead, I disregard it as it isn't what we talked about and figured it was automated. It wasn't I waited weeks to get a call that never came. I get glasses from you, low and behold the region of the lens which should have my prescription is way off, you retake them measurements they are off by 10%, and then you blame it not on your shoddy measurement taking but on how I have prism. You then force me to use your doctor - even though i already paid a fee for out of office Rx which I didn't get refunded until I the end of this story. The prescription is basically the same, but now prism added. They assure me this will fix everything. I wait weeks again, finally glasses come back, even worse than the first attempt. Now the front end clerk won't even talk to me. I stay in the office, no one acknowledged me for 30 mins to then hear her and another person AUDIBLY TALK ABOUT ME. Granted I was the only there for about 20 minutes of that time They finally tell me I need to come back again make a new appointment. Fine whatever sure. Days later I get a call saying they are choosing to not do business with me because I have a tricky prescription and since they tried twice they don't want to try a third time. What? So I started in May and was told in August to go find another doctor. They cancelled my existing appointment. Unbelievable and absolutely the most unprofessional experience I've had in ages. The VA has a better eye clinic. Awesome job folks. I did get my money refunded even though it took weeks to happen. Now I still need new glasses I have daily headaches because my prescription is bad now and I've been trying for close to six months to work with these people only to be left high and dry. In a city with so MANY choices I can't believe I choose so poorly.

I had such a wonderful experience at Optometry Medical Group from the moment I walked in. I came in for an eye exam for glasses and immediately felt welcomed by the professional and friendly front desk staff. Everyone was kind, organized, and made the process feel smooth and stress-free. Shai took me back for the preliminary testing and was absolutely amazing. Friendly, patient, and easy to talk to, which instantly made me feel comfortable. You can tell the staff genuinely care about the people coming through the door and not just rushing patients in and out. Then I met Dr. Panderla, and she was exceptional. She took her time explaining everything in a way that was clear, detailed, and easy to understand. I never felt brushed off or confused. She was incredibly patient while discussing my eye concerns, what she was seeing, and the plan moving forward. That level of care means a lot because eye appointments can sometimes feel overwhelming or overly clinical, but she made the experience feel personal and reassuring. The office itself felt calm, welcoming, and very professional. You can really feel the teamwork there. Everyone seemed happy to help, and the energy was warm without losing professionalism. I’m actually looking forward to returning in a few weeks for my follow-up appointment, which says a lot because most people don’t exactly get excited about eye exams. Highly recommend this office if you want knowledgeable care, kind staff, and doctors who truly take the time to listen and explain things thoroughly.

Always feel welcomed here. The office staff to providers are proficient at their jobs and provide excellent service. And walking into a practice/medical office with diverse community representation is also a nice topping to the cake.

This was my second visit with the eye doctor (I feel bad I don’t remember his name) and Marie, and it was a great experience from start to finish. They made everything easy and were both super easy to talk to. It honestly felt like they genuinely cared, even though I was one of their last patients of the day. I never felt rushed, and they took the time to make sure everything was explained clearly. I’d highly recommend coming here for those reasons alone—overall just a really great experience.
