I started coming to Thrive Eye + Optical in 2025 after having several disappointing experiences with other eye doctors, including poor customer service and issues with the glasses I was sold. After researching optometrists in the Dallas area, I found Dr. Chin’s office, and I’m so glad I did. I returned again in 2026, and the service was just as excellent and consistent as my first visit. The office is in a convenient location with plenty of parking. The staff is friendly, communicative, and responsive whenever I have questions. Both times I visited, the entire process was easy and seamless, and I did not have to wait long to be helped or begin my exam. Dr. Chin is welcoming and open to any questions or concerns. He takes the time to explain my vision results in simple, understandable terms without making the appointment feel rushed. I also really like their selection of glasses. They offer basic options as well as more stylish and unique frames, so there is something for different tastes. The staff also provides a clear breakdown of the costs, which I appreciate because there are no unexpected surprises. Good customer service can be difficult to find these days, so I truly value businesses that provide a consistently positive experience. Thrive Eye + Optical has become my favorite optometry office, and I would highly recommend Dr. Chin and his team to anyone looking for professional eye care, helpful staff, and a stress-free experience.

Dr. Chin provided exceptional care throughout my visit. He took the time to explain everything in detail and even showed me the differences between the products available on the market, which helped me make an informed decision. I recently started seeing Dr. Chin and have been extremely impressed with my experience. I’ve also brought all three of my kids in to see him, and we couldn’t be happier with the care we’ve received. He is incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. He is extremely smart and really knows what he’s doing, but what I appreciate most is how well he explains everything in terms that are easy to understand. He takes the time to answer every question and makes sure you fully understand what’s going on. He never seems rushed and truly spends as much time with you as you need. The office staff is also very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. Everyone has made each visit a positive experience. I’m so glad I found this office and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an eye doctor who genuinely cares about his patients!

Absolutely loved my appointment with Dr. Chin!!! Can we start with the text they send you with an estimate of how much your exam will be! I love it!! I haven’t had an eye exam in over 20 years. And told Dr. Chin I was a little nervous. But he made me feel super comfortable. I knew it was going to be a good practice because we walked in and he was at the front desk checking us in. I love when the Doctor is hands on with his practice, it shows how much they love what they do! He did in total 4 exams.(it felt like 4, could have been more. Didn’t matter I was just so fascinated with the equipment!!) He was soo informative and showed me an image of the inside of my eye(soo cool btw) he gave me a little health break down as to what he saw, recommended and left room for questions at the end. I didn’t feel rushed talking to him, nor did it feel like a standard doctor’s appointment. It felt like I was having a talk with someone who was very passionate about his line of work! From the ladies in the front desk(they gave my husband and I food recommendations 😂), to the young woman who helped me pick out glasses(she gave me some stylish choices) this was such a amazing way to start my Saturday! Definitely will come back if I have any issues in the future!
