He is such a great doctor. Very personable. He really knows what he is doing. Been going to him for years when he was in Glendale. Wish he never moved!

I just tried to make an appointment for my annual eye appointment/contact lens exam. They tried to tell me that they can't/won't do the contact lens exam until January 2020, because my insurance won't cover it until then. Which is incorrect anyway, but I told the woman fine, I'd pay out of pocket - no, they still won't do the exam so I can get an updated prescription for my contacts. No matter how many different ways I tried to explain to her that she's wrong, lol, she refused to schedule my appointment for sooner than 7 months from now, so dumb. Obviously no one is going to wait that long for an eye exam. This would have been my second annual appointment with Dr. Mielke and my experience with him isn't making me all that sad that I need to look for a new eye doctor now. Unless you like someone trying to push/upsell you on every random service they offer for the entire appointment, there are much better and more professional choices out there.

I was told this office accepts my insurance. I called and they confirmed they do accept my insurance. I made an appointment. At my appointment I was informed my insurance does not cover a contact lens prescription, which was the purpose of my visit. The offered to do it for almost $100, the same price as my usual optometrist who treats me very well, has a very clean waiting room, and high tech clean equipment. What a waste of a day that could have been avoided if I had been told this information when I made my appointment. No thank you.

Very personable, he's like family. Very warm and genuine. He takes the time to answer any questions and make you comfortable. The staff is on point and very friendly.

Dr. Mielke was very patient (pardon the pun) and compassionate with my condition. I am going back for sure.
