As a long time customer of Custom Eyes, I find some of the one-star, negative reviews suspect. For example, someone refers to Custom Eyes being in a shopping plaza! It is not. Someone else refers to the “staff” not knowing how to input prescriptions into the computer. Absolutely absurd! Custom Eyes is run by one man, the owner, and a very lovely eye doctor. They are both lowkey, friendly, and professional. Quite often, the owner is managing several customers at once with, calm and grace in the tiny storefront. He is also very skilled at picking out frames that suitably match your face shape. The one negative review that seemed valid was a complaint about the length of time it takes to get your new glasses. I can only say that yes, it takes a few weeks.The Amazon-ation of retail has eroded the patience of the modern customer, but that is not the problem of Custom Eyes, that is a reflection of the modern consumer. So be wary of online reviews.

Fantastic service from a very friendly and helpful team. I was able to get my new lenses created same-day after the eye exam, and Kevork made adjustments to my frames which went from bent to good as new. I'll 100% be going back to Custom Eyes for my next exam, and recommend them to anyone in the area looking for a new optometrist!

I have been going to Custom Eyes for more than 5 years. It is always a pleasure to walk in. Kevork Tinkjian, the owner, is the nicest person. Immediately focuses on your needs. He is warm and friendly. He listens and then he advises. His selection of glasses is great, and his pricing is better than I have seen elsewhere. I go though because of the staff and Mr. Tinkjian in particular. Simply a very nice experience getting glasses, lenses and eye care from him.

Don't get fooled by the good reviews and recommendations on reddit. I came here for those and highly doubt their creditability after my visit. The doctor insisted to recommend me contacts while I've clearly marked not interested and not needed in the new patient screening form. When checking out, the bill was a surprise because the doctor includes the contact fitting as part of it. When I said I don't need it, the doctor be like "You'll need prescription when you buy contact lens". No thanks, I'm really not interested in them.
