Kaufman Eye Institute – Wesley Chapel

I had an eyelash embedded in my eye and went to Kaufman Eye Institute. I was really impressed with how kind and professional all of the staff were at both the Wesley Chapel and Zephyrhills locations from calling and making my appointments, the receptionists, the assistants and the providers are all amazing. At my first appointment as I was leaving with my special needs son who is in a wheelchair without hesitation not 1 but both of the receptionists came to assist me without hesitation with opening the door to leave. This may not sound like a lot but to me it really meant a lot because it’s not often that anyone offers to help with opening doors when I’m with my son. I don’t expect anyone to open a door for us I have learned ways to do it myself but it is definitely appreciated when anyone offers to help. Both doctors I seen were friendly, kind and professional. I was nervous with my eye issue but the drs eased my anxiety with their communication, compassionate care and professional approach. I first heard of Kaufman Eye Institute from a dear friend of mine who has been a patient at Kaufman Eye Institute for many years. She always spoke very highly of this practice and would frequently talk with me about some of her experiences with this team. I’m really glad my friend shared her experiences with this practice because when I had to be seen for my issue I immediately called my friend and asked her for their contact information. The doctor was able to remove the eyelash that was embedded in my eye and the procedure was so quick and painless. Thank you to all of the staff and providers for providing excellent customer service. I highly recommend Kaufman Eye Institute.

Dr Faust was very thorough and pleasant. He answered all my questions”Google” questions and explained things to me. He was very patient and kind to make sure I understood his answers to my questions. Sometimes doctors can feel threatened or unpleasant when you start to ask questions especially from “Google”. He had no issue with it. Highly recommend Kauffman Eye Istitute. I have going there for years and always had a positive experience.

I enjoyed my visit there. The staff was very friendly. They were on point professional and the doctor showed real concern when assessing my problems and came up with a care plan. That was very good and I’m happy with what I’m receiving with my treatment. Seeing the two doctors there, Dr. Kaufman and must call me either far and working with them.

Extremely unprofessional experience. Back in March, I scheduled an appointment for July specifically based on the doctor’s availability, as recommended by their own staff. They even called me the morning of the appointment to confirm. However, late that afternoon, they completely changed both the doctor and the time, notifying me with zero professional courtesy. When I questioned the sudden switch, I was given nothing but weak, dismissive excuses. This is now the second time this has happened. This clinic clearly does not value patients' time or honor appointments made months in advance for specific physicians. I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

One of my cats scratched my eye during the night, and I called that morning and they fit me in to an afternoon appointment. Dr. Faust was very nice and thorough. The frontdesk staff was very pleasant as well as the young lady who took my initial information, my apologies, I don't remember your name and Cam.
