Pros: Being able to secure a next day appointment at 9 PM was a huge plus. The after hours staff were wonderful and helped me get everything set up quickly and efficiently. Upon arriving at the office, Denise at the front desk was incredibly kind and bubbly, a breath of fresh air so early in the morning. I was impressed by how she seemed to know many of the patients as they arrived and made everyone feel welcomed through friendly conversation and genuine warmth. The nurse who assisted me in the back was also fantastic. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her name, but she was professional, attentive, and made me feel comfortable throughout the initial part of my visit. Cons: I scheduled my appointment because I had been experiencing mild irritation in one eye for a few days after what felt like something may have flown into it. My goal was simply to make sure everything was okay. When Dr. Amanda Ehrgood Perry entered the room, she reviewed the nurse’s notes and began the examination, including administering several eye drops. Throughout the exam, I asked questions and shared information that I felt might be relevant. However, I got the impression that my questions were becoming an annoyance, and the doctor’s demeanor became increasingly short and dismissive. At the conclusion of the exam, she informed me that she observed allergy bumps underneath my right eyelid, which could be causing the irritation. She recommended a steroid eye drop and an allergy eye drop. Since this was all new to me, I initially agreed. However, I wanted to better understand the treatment plan. It seemed logical to me that allergy drops would address allergy related symptoms, so I asked what purpose the steroid drops would serve. She explained that they would help with inflammation. My follow up question was simply, “Where is the inflammation?” because inflammation had not previously been mentioned during the visit. At that point, her demeanor noticeably changed. She became even shorter in her responses and appeared uncomfortable with being questioned. The remainder of the visit felt rushed, and I left feeling as though my desire to understand my diagnosis and prescribed medications was unwelcome. As a patient, I believe it is reasonable to ask questions and seek clarity regarding a diagnosis and treatment plan, especially when medications are being prescribed. I value healthcare providers who encourage discussion and make patients feel comfortable participating in decisions about their care. Unfortunately, that was not my experience during this visit. While the office staff and nurse were excellent, the interaction with the physician left me feeling dismissed, and for that reason, I would not choose to return to this practice.
My experience at KTND has always and remains positive due to every member of the staff being pleasant and always professional. Dr DiDomenico has always practiced with kindness, concern and the utmost professional care. The quality of care found at KTND is quite hard to find anymore in Healthcare. Again I appreciate the highly professional and personal standards of the KTND staff.
The team was super friendly and helpful! Sorry I forgot the name of my nurse, who was great. And Dr. Shannon is awesome!
Wonderful kind, caring and ultra professional practice. For routine eye care or specialized treatment or surgery, highly recommended. The staff, technicians and doctors are all excellent. The office is beautiful and clean. Ample free parking makes the experience easy.
