The worst experience I've ever had getting a glasses prescription. They'd get zero stars if it wasn't for the nice, helpful staff. From reading other reviews, it seems like Alex Kilgore is a competent eye surgeon, but he is totally inept at doing a simple eye exam for glasses. When I went to pick up my glasses, I could not see at all. A huge total blur. The optical dept tweaked some measurements and I had to wait a week and a half for my new glasses. Still was a total blur when I picked them up. Sure enough, I was taken back to do the testing again and they got far different numbers than what Dr. Kilgore got the first time. Then he comes in and this time actually puts that lens flip machine on my eyes. When I asked him what happened the first screwed up visit and he pompously replied, " something must have happened between me saying the numbers aloud and them going into the computer." What does that even mean, lol. Then I waited two more weeks for my glasses to arrive. I absolutely do not recommend Kilgore Vision for eye care.

I have been a patient at Kilgore Vision Center for years. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I recently had cataract surgery on both of my eyes. The experience was painless and much better than I expected. I had put it off because I was afraid it wouldn’t work. Today I had my post op visit with Dr. Alex Kilgore. He said my eyes had both healed well. Dr. Kilgore is a great doctor and surgeon. I would highly recommend him and his clinic.
I was very pleased with all aspects of my visit to the Kilgore Vision Center . I was given a warm friendly greeting, efficiently checked in and had a short wait prior to seeing the doctor. Tests were done quickly and efficiently. All questions were answered in a manner rhat I could easily understand. Future appointments were made so I can put them on my calendar.
I’ve been using Vance for years, but had to switch to Kilgore due to my vision insurance changing. I would frankly be embarrassed to own or work for Kilgore. The entire clinic smelled like sweaty booty. My husband and I had our vision appointments together and I did not see them clean a single piece of equipment between us. Some of the equipment we used was sticky. The lenses were smudged. There were used cotton balls left around the equipment and toenails on the floor. Our appointment was one of the first ones in the morning, so I find it very unlikely that this was just due to having a busy day. I wish the cleanliness was my only complaint, but Dr. Kari Priborsky was also very unfriendly and unwelcoming. There was no warning about the drops she put in our eyes stinging and numbing our eyes. There was very little communication or care in anything she had to say. I did not feel like she listened to anything my husband or I said. I will pay out of pocket from here on out to go back to Vance and I will never take them for granted.
I had the BEST experience at Kilgore’s Vision Center! The girls at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. I saw Dr Alex Kilgore, he was very knowledgeable about my condition and needs, as well as kind and easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Kilgore Vision Center!
