L Bruce Mebine OD

The optometrist, Doctor Loran Mebine, is such a dear man. He has been the optometrist for my family for decades, and is always very thorough with the eye exam and prescriptions. The staff are always very welcoming, patient, hardworking, and personable, even during the peak of COVID-19 when being careful was even more of a priority. Loran always keeps current with new eye health trends, and lines of eyeglasses and sunglasses. I am so happy that with Medi-Cal (SF Health Plan) insurance, I am respected and in a safe and clean environment. I recommend this practice very highly. (FYI: Make an appointment by phone.)

Personable, experienced and recognized as an outstanding professional in his field, Dr. Mebine provides the highest level of eye care. On a personal note, years ago he discovered my need for cataract surgery and referred me to an eminent ophthalmologist. Today, he found an opacity in the rear capsule of my cornea. This was a nuanced catch on his part. And he is arranging for appropriate follow up at UCSF Ophthalmology. Our eyes are foundational- go see Bruce for yours.

Dr Mebine is great. He’s very experienced and takes a lot of time and patience explaining all issues associated with eye care. The full annual eye exam is covered by my VSP plan so it’s a no brainer every year. Love his staff also…

Doctor Mebine was very good. He did a thorough job checking my eyes. He provided me with new contacts and wanted me to come back in a couple of days to make sure I was comfortable and the contacts were working for me. Highly recommend him!

Dr. Mebine is amazing, I have been going to him for over 25 year and I have always had excellent service here. He has always had sweet front clerks and amazing Angela who hwlps you fit for glasses. I cant forget Rosie my favorite too.
