I am writing to formally report an incident involving Dr. Pepper Brock regarding the treatment my father received following his recent eye surgery. During his initial interaction, Dr. Brock was noticeably rude and dismissive. Although my father chose to overlook this behavior at the time, assuming it may have been an isolated incident, the situation worsened during his follow-up appointment the next day. At the follow-up visit, Dr. Pepper Brock called my father into the examination room, instructed him to sit down and remove his eye protection shield, and then left the room. She returned approximately five minutes later, asked him to go back to the waiting area, and did not call him back in. Despite waiting for over 45 minutes, other patients who had arrived after my father were seen, while he was not attended to. We eventually raised this concern with the reception staff, after which another doctor took over his care and apologized for the inconvenience and unprofessional conduct. This experience reflects a serious lapse in professionalism and patient care. I request that this matter be reviewed and addressed appropriately to prevent similar incidents in the future.

I’m extremely disappointed with how this office handled my dad’s care. He has been waiting since December for an eye treatment. We were told that once insurance approval came through, the surgery would be scheduled—and it was. His procedure was set for April 30th after receiving that approval. After more than five months of waiting and attending three consultations, we were suddenly told that our insurance is “out of network” and the surgery can no longer be performed. How does this happen after prior approval and months of waiting? This has caused unnecessary stress and delayed my dad’s care. Overall, a very unprofessional and frustrating experience.
All I can say, is their service is friendly, professional, and simply the best. From the front office staff, to the doctors, I have no complaints.
Dr. Brock is absolutely wonderful! My 15-year-old son recently had an appointment with him, and we were both so impressed. Dr. Brock’s friendly demeanor and confidence immediately put my son at ease. He took the time to explain everything clearly, making sure my son understood his vision needs and felt comfortable throughout the process. It’s clear that Dr. Brock genuinely enjoys helping his patients see better, and his expertise shines through. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an optometrist who truly cares about his patients. Thank you, Dr. Brock, for your dedication and passion for your patients’ eye health!
I was recommended to this doctor by my Optometrist due to a stye that would not go away. This doctor didn't do anything that helped. They told me that styes aren't an infection and that warm compresses were the only way. I later found out this is not true since my husband also developed a stye and he washes his eyelids everyday. We eventually got rid of the styes by changing our pillowcases every couple of days and were told this by a VA nurse. I would think an eye surgeon would know this! Long story, but I would not recommend this doctor, their front desk staff doesn't know what they are talking about when it comes to insurance and they have a dozen signs around the office with disclaimers about being rude to the staff...why do you need signs that have to tell people not to be rude to your staff?! Also, I would always have to wait past my appointment time to be seen, sometimes 30 minutes past.
