Was seen here for the first time in July 2025 by Dr Randle for my dry eye issue. As a patient seeing doctors all my life I understand when my doctors set a treatment plan for me they expect me to follow it. And I do. This first appointment was not pleasant in July 2025 one doesn't expect to be told that the doctor has gone "above and beyond" for you. That's the way this appointment went. I felt intimidated. I had to tell my "life story" with the doctor directing me to do the treatment plan and I had to explain reasons why it was difficult to follow some. Part of the plan was to do warm compresses and there was just no room for me to buy an eye mask. I asked if I could use a warm wash cloth was told no it doesn't hold the heat long. She found a brand new mask in the office and offered it to me. I thanked her. SPECIFIC directions to microwave it for so many seconds. Problem was it was a cooling mask not meant for the microwave. It burst after a couple of months. I'm lucky it last that long. That same appointment other issues I won't write here. Fast forward to my other appointments. I was being treated for dry eyes in order to proceed with cataract surgery. They were advised by me that I had another surgery scheduled in August of 2025. However I came down with bronchitis and that surgery had to be rescheduled. To October 2025. They said they UNDERSTOOD my cancellation of my appointment with the cataract surgeon in August 2025. But they didn't. I spoke to staff I have documentation they told me SPECIFICALLY NOT to reschedule until I was feeling better from my bronchitis. Since I even had to cancel my surgery due to the illness. I called in September 2025 after I was better to make another appointment with the cataract surgeon. HOWEVER not one person informed me of the details of the cataract surgery knowing that I still had my other surgery scheduled. Meaning when I went in for the appointment with the cataract surgeon there was MORE PROBLEMS. I wasted the transportation I had, I was told I needed to have the surgery within 3 months of the date I was there, and I needed to return to see the cataract surgeon again before the surgery. Again nobody explained any of this to me before I set up the appointment and they knew I had my other surgery scheduled FIRST. Frustrated was I? YES. They were at least kind enough not to charge by insurance for the appointment that day in September 2025. Fast forward to April 2026. Unfortunately due to circumstances in my personal life I didn't have my Surgery I was supposed to it was postponed 3 more times. Actually due to the place I'm living at. April I called LV Eye center to advise that I believed that the eye drop Dr Randle started me on last July was failing. I have done this with other doctors explaining that if a medication wasn't working for me we would discuss and try something else. Had a terrible time with this staff. Updating this Review As of August 18, 2026. After filing a complaint with my Insurance Company I am free to say what I like. What LV eye center doesn't know is I have been enduring the switching of rooms in my motel due to mold issues and it's going to be THREE times coming up shortly in the next couple weeks. Discovered white mold now on my furniture. My eye issue has become WORSE and it shall be addressed with my NEW specialist. Was going to INFORM them of this in July if my appointment was not cancelled by them. Asking for a new medication because one was failing I have done with other doctors many times no problem. This doctor and practice? Chose not to listen and a supervisor even went to greater lengths pressuring me. This is my experience prayed that when I went there for the first time I would get the help I needed. Obviously I was disappointed. May The Lord Have Mercy On LV Eye Center

When I got to know the people at this office, I realized they care more than anyone I’ve met at the big chains at St. Luke’s and Lehigh Valley doctors. They actually care about their patients. Maybe cuz it’s independent but they’re great.
I don’t have enough good things to say about this place! I was suffering from a very bad eye infection, and when I called they got me in the same day, the staff from start to finish were extremely kind, and it is very apparent they care about their people. Dr. Randle and all her assistants were amazing. Anything eye related definitely check them out!
In September 2025, Dr. O’Brien performed cataract surgery on my left eye. The result was a significant refractive miss, leaving me without usable mid-range or near vision despite paying for a premium lens. Only after consulting another surgeon did I fully understand that my eye was complex and outcomes could vary. What I cannot accept was the response afterward. When I returned distressed — unable to read my phone, struggling with depth perception, even falling — I was given shifting explanations and conflicting narratives and was ultimately made to feel the outcome was my fault. Dr. O’Brien’s communication style came across as rushed and dismissive. When I raised concerns, the response felt combative rather than collaborative, leaving little room for genuine dialogue about my care. The payment was complete; the accountability was not. I am now under the care of another surgeon while I explore options to correct what was done.
lehigh valley eye center and dr marnie obrien are fantastic. they were thorough in the explanation of all aspects of my medical eye exam. everyone i encountered was friendly and knowledgeable. if you need any care for your eyes this is the finest care facility.
