I had the wonderfully good fortune to purchase 2 new pairs of glasses, progressive and sun, at this location. The 2 associates, Judy and Chelsea, (more with Judy) made the entire experience very informative and pleasant. They wanted to make sure everything was perfect for both pairs. My eyes were examined by their onsight optometrist Dr. Phan who wonderfully brought my almost 6 year old prescription up to date. Outstanding and highly recommend.

I found the staff of LensCrafters at Macy's to be very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. They are also very efficient in attending to customer needs. Chelsea introduced me to Meta Glasses, which I bought as a 2nd set for non-reading use. The features are fantastic and perfect to meet my need to instantly capture a moment by photo or video. Also, playing music or talking by phone through the frame is a huge bonus -- no earbuds stuck in the ear yet the stereo sound is personal, just for me to hear. I highly recommend the staff at LensCrafters on the 2nd floor of Macy's in Columbia Mall -- they may be tucked away near the elevator but worth seeking out.
Judy is absolutely the best. I stopped in to see if I could get the nose pads on my sunglasses replaced, and she had me in and out within minutes. She was incredibly kind, courteous, and efficient. Such a great experience.
I’ve never written a review like this before, but my experience at the LensCrafters inside Macy’s at Columbia Mall genuinely broke my trust in the brand. Yesterday, I was told I was 20 minutes late, so I thought, “Alright, I’ll just make sure I’m earlier next time.” I drove an hour straight from work today to get there on time, walked in just before that 20-minute mark, and was told the cutoff was actually 10 minutes. No reminder, no warning, and no compassion. Just a cold, matter-of-fact tone that left me stunned. When I tried to explain, the optometrist passed by, made brief eye contact, and kept walking. There was no warmth, no apology, not even acknowledgment. After spending my time, gas, and energy to get there, I was treated like I didn’t matter. That moment stuck with me more than I expected. I felt small, dismissed, and invisible. Like my effort meant nothing. This wasn’t just bad communication. It was a complete lack of basic empathy. I could have understood if the policy had been clearly communicated or if someone had shown even a hint of kindness. Instead, I left feeling dehumanized. I will never return to this location again, and I sincerely hope management looks at how their policies and tone are impacting real people who are simply trying to take care of their health.
Louie was amazing! He helped my mom get new glasses. He provided excellent customer service, very patient and kind. He was extremely knowledgeable and truly took his time with us. The entire process was timely and professional. Very grateful. Thank you again!
