Dr. Frank is by far the best eye doctor my family has ever had. We moved back home to California after 30 years in Alaska. I cannot find any doctor here that comes close to Dr. Frank. We miss all of the staff at Loadstar they are amazing. If you live in Anchorage or Eagle River like we did, it is well worth the drive and who knows a flight for our family. I highly recommend.
Five star recommend for Dr Kara Reynolds! She is the BEST eye doctor I have seen in years. She was thorough in explaining her findings and recommendations. I have tried other providers in the Valley that left me frustrated and feeling like I was just a number trying to get me in and out as fast as possible. Dr Reynolds and her team all greeted me kindly and with a smile. Also special thanks to Emily in the optical department. She is very knowledgeable and my first interaction with her over a year ago when I purchased glasses at Lodestar after a bad visit in another office is one of the reasons I chose to establish care here for exams. You will not regret making Lodestar and Dr Kara Reynolds your eye care professionals. Also, their office is cozy, warm, and relaxing. No uncomfortable sterile vibes present. 1,000,000% recommend! My son has gone through so many expensive ray ban frames that have scratched within the first week. We switched to lodestar and found these AMAZING glasses. Hes had these about 2 months or so and even sleeps in them (NOT ONE SCRATCH!!) When he first put them on he said, "they were awesome!!". No more rubbing on the ears & blisters on his nose. I had my appointment with my 13 month old and it went really well. Everyone was patient and helpful with both of us and Dr Frank had a lot of tricks to be able to look at her eyes and keep her entertained. He was super knowledgeable and told me quite a few things about eye health I’d never heard and I’ve been seeing an eye doctor for 15 years. I really liked their selection of glasses, it wasn’t just a bunch of the same glass type by different brands they had a lot of selection and Emily was so helpful and really kind (I hate glasses shopping). Definitely recommend and eaglets awaiting my new glasses and contacts :)
