Dr. Luis Toledo-Espiett is kind, but after speaking with his front desk staff I will be going back to our old LensCrafters location in Rockville/Bethesda. I needed my latest prescription sent to the motor vehicle administration (MVA). The front desk staff said "the system" isn't letting them submit it. Then when I explain that I'll submit it myself if he can fill out the Vision form, she says he requires I have a retinol imaging exam in order for him to submit the form (now this is after he didn't need it 10 minutes ago when the system was broken). Nowhere on the MVA's vision form does it require this extra exam that is always out of pocket (and they tell you prior to the appt that it isn't required). I called my previous LensCrafters location and they said it's not a requirement and all they needed was my ID info and they'd submit it. Done. No extra expensive test, no lie about them not being able to submit it. They were familiar with the process and assured me that they do it all the time and nothing further was needed on my end. Extremely friendly and kind front office staff, no drama, no lies, no attitude. The complete opposite of Dr. Luis Toledo-Espiett's office. When what she was saying didn't sound right, I asked if the doctor could give me a call. She said no he won't be able to because he only communicates through her. Totally unprofessional, not worth my time and energy. I will simply take my family back to our old doctor. This is why second opinions are always important.
